Getting the most out of Adderall

So my friend's gerbil Mike was prescribed to Adderall on Saturday. He takes 2 doses of 15mg of the short release kind each day for the next 30 days. He just wants to make sure he gets the most out of it, since it isn't a very high dose. He just started reading up on it and he was wondering if taking tums before it or snorting it would be more effective? Any suggestions?

I always snort mine and have a shorter high than my husband who swallows. I have used both extended release and regular. It's pretty bad ass....very focused and no appetite. Why was the gerbil only prescribed 30 days?

It's probably a 30 day trial and then he'll be able to go back and ask for another month during his med check-up where he may be able to get a permanent prescription. I was confused about that too when i got Ritalin last month and it said no refills and my doctor kept calling it a trial but then i went in for my check-up yesterday and walked out with a permanent prescription to Adderall instead. You just have to call the doctor and he'll refill it though, it just means you can't go to the pharmacy and ask for the refill.

The gerbil just got it so the doctor told him to try out this dose and see how he feels. 30 days is just an estimate, after about 3 weeks he will have an appointment with him again. What should he say to be prescribed to a higher dose?

30mg is a pretty high dose, for new users at least. If he takes 30mg every day, his tolerance is going to go through the roof. I wouldn't recommend using Adderall more than twice a week to avoid tolerance/withdrawal.
