Getting the last bit of oil from the vial?

Hey guys. So I have a semi-empty vial of hash oil or whatever (the thick black stuff) and I'm wondering what the best way to get the last bit out is? It's not much, it's really just coating the sides and bottom but I'd hate to just throw it away. If at all possible, I'd like a method that doesn't involve an iso-evap but I'll do what I have to. Thanks in advance :)
 
Dunno the proportions of the vial but when I have sticky residue I need to collect I'll usually sprinkle plant material over it and rub it off, so that the residue is collected by the plant material which can then be smoked/vaporised. That may be a practical solution, it may not, I guess it depends how accessible the vial is to probing fingers.
 
Sorry, I should have mentioned; it's a small vial. And the biggest problem I have is that the top is more narrow than the bottom. I'll get a picture here in a minute.

PS. I have read Captain.Heroins thread on this topic next page over but I feel like the shape of my vial is someone of an issue
 
Oh, right, yeah my idea wouldn't work. I rarely see extracts so really have NFI but would suggest maybe some kind of solvent? Like isopropyl alcohol, put a few drop in, shake it around, try and scrape the hash into the solution with a paper-clip?
 
Ah, the classic 5/8 gram vial conundrum. Yeah, that stuff is pretty much stuck in there unless you use a solvent to get it out. You could you use Everclear or 151, fill it up, let it sit, then just sit the shot and it should work like an edible. Or you could then dry that out and dab it.

Personally I just gave up on the stuff that's in a couple of those I have. I occasionally use them to store other oil and figure it just mixes...

You could also heat it up to try to pour it out (or get it to all settle at the bottom).
 
You could always toss a small amount of isopropyl alcohol in it then evaporate it on a plate. Dependent on how thick the glass is if your feeling lazy you could simply heat it up and inhale the smoke from it, though that's not the wisest idea, I've done it previously with success.
 
Thanks guys. I didn't want to have to go buy iso just for this so I think I'll just scrape it as best I can and toss it. :( I've heated it up and tried to get it to drip out onto some foil but that didn't work. Then I heated it up and tried getting it to settle on the bottom and scrape it with the safety pin I've been using and that worked a little but now there's not even enough to scrape. Or whatever I do pick up from the bottom and sides gets wiped off again by that stupid ledge before the opening.

If it was glass, this would have been my #1 option, my pen would fit nicely right into the opening lol but alas, it's some kind of thick plastic so I won't be doing that :(
 
Can you not use a heated blade to cut the narrow top of the vial then use the plant material method etc
 
Is the vial glass or plastic?

If glass, my only question would be: Can you not put a flame to the vial, and catch the smoke/vapor as it rises out of the vial?


If plastic, sorry for wasting your time with this post. =D
