Getting sick after rolling?

So I rolled the other night, and woke up the next day with a great afterglow. Feeling perfectly fine. I decided to take an afternoon nap...and for some reason I thought it was a smart idea to sleep in my clothes...jacket and all...because I was cold. I woke up with a headache and a fever. No matter how many layers I put on I couldn't feel warm.

It seems like cold/flu symptoms...so i'm trying to figure out if this was just coincidence that has nothing to do with rolling or if it might have played a part. I'm miserable right now...there's tons of pressure in my head and it feels like it's going to explode. And yes I know...go see a doctor if I'm worried. I just wanted to check here for some feedback first.

EDIT: Might be good to note that I took 10mg of adderall about an hour prior to rolling.

While MDMA won't make you sick, it is known to lower your immunity defenses for a few days. You were just unlucky to happen to catch the flu. Drink fluids and vitamins, rest a few days and I hope you get better.

Cheers.

I believe amp + MDMA is much more neurotoxic than MDMA alone. Some think surplus dopamine taken up into places where serotonin usually goes (serotonin is low after rolling, but dopamine recovers much more quickly) causing a release of free radicals. This is the same reason many recommend against think like phenylaline and tyrosine prior to rolling.

Also, is there any chance you have a lot of caffeine? Withdrawal causes a massive feeling of pressure in your head, due to an enzyme imbalance causes by the caffeine. A little caffeine can alleviate this and restore normal blood flow to the brain. However MDMA also changes blood flow in your brain, perhaps permanently, so it could also be due to this.

You'll be fine though, drink a lot of water, eat some veggies, and take a walk.

Did you roll at a warehouse party or club?

monoamine release + close contact with others = immuno-suppression + spread of vectors = pathogenesis, ya heard? :P
