Getting pinched... is it inevitable?

If you're constantly running around the ghetto trying to score hard drugs, then no, it's not inevitable that you'll get caught, but it is very likely that it will eventually happen. In the US a drugs conviction means you can't get college funding and it is a blight on your record for the rest of your life. Don't be paranoid but try and be realistic at the same time. Just my 2 pence.

When I cop, I always carry around my portfolio and my backpack, and have my dealers meet me near a bus stop (preferably one where two buses go, so if one leaves and i'm still there, its not as suspicious). A lot of the time though, the people I cop from are just straight up sloppy. They'll walk down the street counting out a bundle, wrapping it up in a napkin etc, etc.. It drives me mad.

Luckily you can get your record sealed in some juvenile cases... I get financial aid despite a few run-ins with the law in my younger days.

His wording was a bit off. Or at least it should be noted that there is a differrence between being convicted of a crime and getting pinched.

I was arrested for possession of narcotics, but I was never convicted for possession of narcotics. If it's your first offense you'll usually get drug classes and community service in lieu of a conviction on your record.

I have been using heroin for around 11years or so now and touch wood I have never even come close to being arrested, never even been stopped and questioned or searched either.
I never score off the street though always phone my dealer and arrange a time to meet at his place or mine.
I have been lucky so far I just hope it continues like that.

Has your dealer ever changed or been caught?

Pretty much everybody that I know that has been in the game for a while has gotten caught. I can only really think of 1 friend that has yet to be caught.

Well the person I was referring to in this post just got arrested yesterday, so now pretty much everybody that I know that's been in the game for a while has caught a charge.

I have broken the law for years by obtaining/using drugs. And in that time, I have been searched, frisked, patted down. I've had my rights violated. I've hid drugs on my body while being searched. I have had drugs in my pocket and hid them between my fingers other times. I have distracted, led on, and gotten away with having drugs on my body during searched OVER HALF A DOZEN TIMES EASILY, and I know statistically it will run out.

I have thrown away drugs as I shut a car door to get out and get patted down. I have hidden a grinder in my palm another time, roxis in my fingers another time, shit in my belt (including one time they took my belt off and shook my pants to check), and still nada. I have been pulled over for doing 60 in a 30 after just having bought a dozen or two roxis and hid them successfully on my person. And manyyyyyyyyyy more examples. I am the luckiest and most guile mother fucker when it comes to all this.

And these are just some of the times i've been stopped. This isn't counting the hundreds and thousands of times I got drugs without even so much as a look from a cop.

You can be as good as I am at this shit (and believe me, I am one of the best), and it doesn't matter; I know my luck will run out. I am not crazy and think that I will keep getting away with it.

So yes I feel its inevitable and I am quitting while I am wayyyyyyyyy ahead

And if anyone wants a tip its all about keeping it in your hand while making it look like youre not holding anything, and without drawing attention to that hand (in fact you want to draw away attention), just like a magician does with slight of hand tricks. Cops dont ask you to empty your hands when youre standing there with them seemingly empty. Practice at home with a mirror

Since creating this thread, the girlfriend has been pulled over when a middleman we were going through at the time pulled some sheisty shit, drew attention to himself, and got the two of them pulled over. I was at work, unfortunately, when all this went down.

He tried beating us that night and got his comeuppance; he had my girlfriend park on the main strip while he walked around to the spot, the projects, to meet his guy. It was curious too because, according to my girlfriend, on the ride there he kept going on about his jacket and how much he liked his jacket, how his dad gave it to him and how much the jacket meant to him.

He came back to the car and was no longer wearing his jacket, the all-important jacket. He was winded, looked nervous, and he told my girlfriend to "just drive." Sure enough, a cop pulled up behind her and pulled them over. Fortunately, they were interested in our middleman and so approached his side of the car immediately, the passenger's side, and took him out of the car before he could try stashing anything under the seats or anything like that.

The cops questioned my girlfriend, and she simply told them that, well, she was giving a friend of her boyfriend's a ride as he has no car right now -- which was sort of the truth, really, just not all of the truth. They told my girlfriend to sit tight, then returned to the car and explained that they would be taking her friend (middleman) down to the station, as he was on probation and they found a quantity of crack on him.

The cops asked my girlfriend if they could search the car or bring in the K-9 unit and, having nothing on her, she agreed; well, they never ended up searching the car at all, apparently satisfied with her cooperation and the explanation she provided. (Just another naive, do-gooding white girl from the 'burbs mixed up in some bullshit...)

How do we know that this kid tried beating us? We wanted dope, not crack, and we quickly put two and two together; he wanted crack and, being broke, used our money to buy the crack, so he returned to the car winded and without his jacket to make it look like he got robbed. He was going to put on an act like, "oh, man, that was my favorite jacket! and I had the drugs in the pocket! oh, man! this sucks!"

But unfortunately for him, karma's a bitch, and karma can sometimes be quick, and so the police must have seen this hokey white kid walking around the projects, ditching his jacket some place, the jacket that meant nothing at all to him, I'm sure, and they knew what he was up to...

The best part is that, after processing, he called us later that night from the police station to ask us for a ride -- and we ignored all his calls, of course. He called us the next day to tell us all about how he had to call his mom for a ride, and how he took the charge for my girlfriend... yeah, right! We stopped taking that kids calls, and we never saw him again after that.

It took me 6 years after I started heavily getting into using to actually get legitimately pinched—jail time pinched. Before that, I had some minor incidents, a couple close calls..but nothing serious. However, I've managed to have a pretty succesful using carreer so far in regards to getting arrested, getting popped only a couple times in 10 years.. I don't know if it is inevitable or not..but consistently doing illegal shit... I'd say the odds aren't in your favor. Of course there are extreme cases... I know people who since they were kids have just been magnets for the cops, others have been using a lot longer than I have and have never been arrested.. It all depends on how you hustle and what your game is—the kind of user you are, the people you associate with, and most importantly..how you choose to make your money. I suppose luck is a factor as well.

May the odds be ever in your favor in the Drug Games!

Sorry, stupid movie reference. /stoned

i think it has everything to do with the area you get your drugs

if you're going to ghetto to get cheaper heroin or whatever you're very likely to get pinched cuz the cops know wassup and patrol all the dope spots

other drugs you can get in better neighborhoods (usually weed) leaves you less likely

make sure you have a good spot to hide that shit, on you or in your car

watching cops i just laugh at all the idiots who just put drugs in their pockets

I'm one of those idiots. Never been pinched, never even had a close call. So I hope it isn't inevitable, lol.
I mean no one I know has ever been pinched (A miracle? Maybe.), and we all keep our drugs in our pockets. I've been pulled over plenty of times with drugs in my pockets. I had 1 alcohol test once (negative as I hadn't been drinking, I was rolling though =D ) and I've never been searched. (Well I have, by bouncers at clubs, but who hasn't).

Hell, I even went to the police station (had to give a statement about some dealer who got ratted out) when I was on a sleepless 3 day amp binge and I had my baggie of amps in my pocket. (They wanted a statement - I played dumb and they were very nice, thanked me for my time and didn't give me any trouble at all.)

It's been my experience that they don't search you unless you give them a reason to be suspicious. Maybe that's just Belgian cops though.

I actually laffed. Didn't like the movie though.

i've never gotten busted for drugs (other things i have though) but i've also never copped in the ghetto, which seems to be when people get caught (middle to upper class whites in poor black neighborhoods and such.) i don't even buy street drugs anymore but when i did it was always a phone call + meet up other than a few times. i can count the number of times i went to a drug spot on my two hands probably, and i've done hard drugs hundreds of times.

Everyone says "oh itd never happen to me" until it does. I was lucky, thank God, and I will never try to press my luck again. The majority of addicts will get caught in one way or another. Lets face it, nothing good will come out of addiction.

And yeah of course its easier to get caught copping in the ghetto. Even if u have phone connects theyre not always reliable. Especially when ur on dope, getting sick and gross, youll drive into the ghetto no hesitation to get that fix. I always felt safe copping in the suburbs weed, pills even. But going to the hood another story. Cops see white kids and its a no-brainer why theyre there. You have to watch ur back from the cops, from the low life dealers, other addicts worse off than u desperate enough to rob ya. Even if u quickly roll the window down and do a .2 second transaction theres so much to watch out for. It used to be exciting in a sick addict way but now I gasp thinking how that type of living became the daily norm, like grabbing a coffee or something lol

AND being female and copping in the ghetto is the fucking worst. Everyone sees you as a junky whore (even if ur not) and u have to be extra extra careful for the low lives out there who think youre a lesser being just bc u have a drug problem. The dealers will try to bribe u w drugs for sex, cat calls relentless, some dealers will make constant remarks about what they want to do to u and may even try to cop a feel or worse if ur not careful. Soem dealers would pretend to be really chill but its a front.

White girls in the ghetto is like a minnow in a sea of sharks.

Id rather be arrested then raped/murdered any day.

Everyone ive ever been around has gotten in trouble eventually. I was one of those idiots who said id never get in trouble. 3 months down road there I was. Now this was in a school setting, not the dope scene.

This is exactly why I very rarely ever let my girlfriend go and pick up dope for us alone. There's only one dealer that I trust not to try anything like that, and it's a guy we've been seeing for a long, long time now who has become more a friend than anything else.

All the other dealers that we know... she waits for me if we're going to see them.
