Ok so here's my story. I have been an on and off opiate user for almost 5 years. This recent "on" has been one of the worst for me. I have been using opana 40mg er. Once to twice a day for about three weeks or so. I want to get off this drug ASAP. Mind you it has been recreational. So I got my last 40 yesterday and have been scratching off little piles of it since about 4pm yesterday 8/1. I have a small amount left. Now I have about 15 or so hydrocodone 10/325, and some klonopins as well. I plan to start taking my suboxone again after I ween down as well. Now the problem being the anxiety w/d and some other symptoms have started to hit me in the night just 8 or so hours after I did my last pile of opana. How long do I need to use the hydrocodone to get myself at a medium so I can wait the 24 hours to take my subs. I also heard of lopermide? Should I get some of that. I need some advice from everyone so can someone please help me find the best way to get through this. And the fastest so I can start taking my suboxone again! Thanks so much. By the way opana w/d give me the worst anxiety and depression that I have ever had in my life. And I can't even sleep. Some please give me any kind of advice and the easiest way to get through this.

Well if you are looking for the fastest way to get the process started the best advice is really to just stop everything now and wait until you are in full withdrawals. Then start your Suboxone (buprenorphine and naloxone). Taking the hydrocodone 10/325s is really just only going to prolong the inevitable.

I do not have any personal experience myself with Imodium (Loperamide) but I will link you to a couple of threads that deal with it. The links should go right to the specific posts I thought would be most helpful.

It seems the most important factors are not dosing too often as it has a long hL and not talking too high of a dose.

Why Loperamide works for some people's withdrawals, and not for others
OTC Loperamide for Withdrawal... Amazing

That really isn't that big of a habit. You don't need the hydro's. Just wait 24 hours or however long it takes for you to be in full blown withdrawal, then start taking the suboxone. Get stabilized on a dose, stay on it for as long as you want (keeping in mind the longer you take it..the more of a bitch it is to get off), and then titrate down.
