So i was just wondering...

if anyone here started smoking weed and thought "dayum this is overrated and makes me feel shitty", and then they got a different strain that was indica dominant or sativa dominant and then weed worked for them

becuase ive tried weed from 2 dealers in town and have thrown up getting high on both, due to nausea from getting high, and im hoping i can still enjoy marijuana in the future?

ya feel me?

i think every one has a different natural tollerance to substances and thc to cbd levels vary. i see people turn green from a couple of tokes and ive seen the same people smoke a full joint. maybe its how your body feels on that day.

I can't enjoy bad quality weed; it's dependent on the quality I'd say.

To me, getting off on the wrong foot with cannabis would mean getting sold a really shitty bag of mostly stems, seeds, and some weed attached to the aforementioned, which is barely worth using in the first place.

I have always enjoyed a high quality strain. %)

it depends how good your bud is, and sadly the only way to tell is by experience. next time i recommend smoking less and increase the time between your hits. for example, taking a hit and waiting 5-15 minutes, and repeat until you feel reaally good

Especially if you have no tolerance, waiting is really good T.H.C. always takes a minute to hit people with no tolerance. I smoke weed so much I feel it pretty quickly but you'll need to let it get into your system like ^ said.

As others have said, take it easy and pace yourself.
If you're throwing up, either you're doing it wrong or there's something in that herb...

Unlikely that something is in the herb. I thought the same thing when for the third time I ever smoked weed, I smoked an incredibly potent strain (GDP) in a bowl. just one bowl and my grandmother called an ambulance because I threw up all over my bed and then sat in the shower for 30 mins, dizzy as hell. I knew I was fine but she didn't sadly.

Weed isn't for everyone; take a look at the "Anxiety/Paranoia" and "Idiosyncratic Responses" megathreads (links in the directory(link in my sig)). As others have said, try smoking less. I don't think this thread is going to generate much more discussion, and it's pretty self-serving, so it's closed.
