Getting High With People You Dislike

I'm fairly choosy about who I will get high with. At one point, I thought I didn't enjoy drugs anymore. However, it turned out that the problem was having to do drugs with other people. I wonder if anyone else will choose sobriety over annoyance. Personally, being high around someone I can't stand is worse than not being high at all-- even if I'm sick.

Thoughts? Awful stories?
 
depends on the drug....I am very specific when it comes to opiates, has to be a good friend, and a chill one at that. Some people annoy me when I'm stoned too, just because I guess I think too much, and some people just act like complete assholes when they are high.
 
I can tolerate people I dislike alot better when I'm sober than when i'm high. hanging with people who I don't like when I'm high is a real buzz kill for me. this is particularly the case with MDMA and LSD.
 
well some people are just a straight up buzz kill, but i don't care about chilling with them as long as there matching me or something. I know what you mean though cuz some people suck to be high around, i only do it if im getting something out of it.
 
I hate being around certain people when I'm high, it just brings out the most cynical and antisocial side of me out.. can't even pretend to be interested in what they are saying.
Real drag.
 
Some people are flat out annoying when you're high with them. Example: I have one friend that ALWAYS wants to go get food or something, so I'll go and then he asks me to pay for him! What the fuck? He'd never pay for weed, or anything actually. Gladly I only smoked with him the least times I could. I think the reason why I did was because I felt bad for the poor kid.

I used to drink and smoke with friends, it was fun and all. Then later I got over it, because the ones I would be with (or at least 1 or 2) would be buzz-kills. I took a several month break, and when I drank and smoked again with different people, it was totally awesome!

Don't like drugs? It's most likely not the drugs you dislike, it's probably the fuckers you're with.
 
I think alot of people have that friend or friend-of-a-friend whose house you could always smoke at. This would usually result in having to deal with another group of people that went to the house to smoke too. I stopped going to this particular house because I felt grimy when I looked around at all the people hitting the blunts in the cycle and half of them were nasty.
 
Well, I try my darndest to be as intoxicated as humanly possible when I'm around people I dislike. I like to call it 'the holidays'.
 
Only people I dislike who I get high with are always a last resort "oh my god I need a fix RIGHT NOW" type of people. In which case it's an in and out situation or a well planned rescue call...

I'll be damned if I'm wasting a high around goobs. Grrrrrrr goobs!! :X

also being high around most people is a pain in the ass, it should be around chill people and good friends
 
I hate getting high with people I don't like but it happens....part of the game. When you're deep into anything you get stuck somewhere with someone you don't like, I typically try to make the best of it while trying to get the fuck out of there at the same time.
