getting high on methadone

I just took 3 1/4 wafers and was wondering if i could get high or would just get tired from slowly sipping 150mg liquid in 5mg increments

If you're on MMT at 130mg a day I don't think 150 will affect you at all. Have you already had your dose today?

All in all we're not here to tell you how to get high, or how best to get high, or how to get higher. Methadone is a very strong opiate that is very easy to OD on due to it's long half life. Be careful. "Slowly sipping" on the liquid can't possibly allow the dose to take full effects, it takes a few hours to feel and will remain in your system for a few days.

im on methadone maintenance, i go to a clinic everyday. i was using 7 bags of heroin a day, was shooting around 300mg oxy just to feel not sick, so my tolerance was around there. i was started on 30mg methadone, and increased 10mg every 3 days until i hit 80mg. the only "effects" i felt was eneergetic for about 3 hours then irritable after, i eventually made it to 130mg, it does not produce no high at all, it doesnt even make me energetic like it used to, only thing it did was kill all mental cravings for opiates and physical W/D symptoms, i began mixing benzos with methadone to try to achieve a high, which i didnt, i only felt the buzz from the benzos, nieve as i was, i didnt realize i can still die in my sleep even if id ont feel high or fucked up from methadone...this drug will kill you even i fu dont feel high, it stilll has strong CNS effects

Thanks for the info! Definitely reduced harm as i took the 130 then sipped 150 over 4 his just felt sleepy loopyt sorta not opiate high I'm prescribed k pins to do i was also on those but the tired high was Def from the done

i think kpins make me as tired as xanax does, in my opinion the lower the dose of kpin i take, the more i feel its effects verse me taking high amount at a time 4-8mg at once...i felt more benefit taking 2mg..when i get bars, i would take like 4 and hardly feel shit, and i wondered how the fuck am i not feeling 8 mg!? but when i have a half a bar or a bar i seem to feel its effects..weird

Be very careful when combining methadone with benzodiazepines. I think that in recent years the most common fatal overdoses were from the combination of methadone and benzos, mainly xanax, but clonazepam could easily have the same result. Xanax was probably more common in the overdoses since it's prescribed and taken more than the clonazepam, so if clonazepam was prescribed as much as the xanax it probably would be in its place for most common lethal combo.

I've been on MMT for 8 months , I've never felt "high" on it. Tired as fuk n nodding out yes , but any pleasure feelings from it.... no . Plus it usually kills the high from any other opiates you do. I know ALOT people take benzodiazepines (Xanax) with thier dose but it is very dangerous. My clinic makes us promise n sign a pledge to not abuse benzos. I've never tried it, I'm honestly so sik of the methadone nodding I don't want to b anymore zoned out!

i think just as dangerous is methadone is by taking it, waiting hours, not feeling a high, and quickly tkaing more = leading to an overdose or death, same applies with klonopin, its long acting takes a long time to kick in, so people on methadone already, then trying to mix klonopin, an dnot feeling shit due to it taking so long to kick in, or not giving u that punch xanax gives, can lead to overdose also, because kpin is still just as strongly slowing down ur CNS as xanax at the same MG vs MG amounts, feeling a buzz or not

this is so ridiculous... methadone is an EXTREMELY potent opiate, it is not to be toy'd with.... as far as sipping it slow, methadone comes on very slowely, hence how theres no rush but redosing methadone is simply playing with your life.

The scary part is that you indeed can get a nice hum from methadone. im going on 3yrs of mmt, im at 105mg atm. if i take my norm single dose i feel no recreational effects though i wil say that imo when u weigh getting a med everyday that keeps u straight, never have to fk with dealers, cravings, etc. compared to the life a junkie lives before juice, id take the meth neday. but as i was saying, some days i will double up my dose (drink a carry right after getting my initial dose) and i nod harder than i did when i was doing twenty oc80s a day. I do not recommend this though, its dangerous. russian roulette

very true, on methadone after awhile, it just kept my normal, and energetic, no euphoria..and i lost all cravings for drugs, xcept benzos..oddly..now that im back on subs, im cravings everything synthesized by man lol..ill admit even tho i felt normal on meth, if i even sat down, after 3 mins i would doze off...regardless how normal i felt on methadone..alot of times ill be sipping my coffee in the morning after i get my dose, andi would close my eyes for 1 ow 2mins, (in my mind) and people are tapping my to wake up..its weird methadone does sedate u if ur relaxed, but u can still be active..i was running 9 miles a dya on treadmill on 130mg of meth, and i think the meth helped me work out harder by killing the pain..sorry for rambling..im on addys..anyways..yoo hoo

So you did 270 mg in a 4 hr period. Yikes, seems like a lot. Never taken it myself but I have read of how powerful it can be. Imagine cold turkeying off an over 200 mg methadone habit, death would likely be better choice. And sounds like you already had taken k-pins to add to this. I am just wondering where the harm was reduced here. People were telling you to take it easy on the liquid cause it takes 2-3 hours to peak, but you didn't space it out enough to really be safe. And the general suggestion was 150 mg was fine if you do 130 mg regularly, not to combine those 2 in one day. Sounds like it wasn't worth it anyhow, much more risk than reward in this experiment. Hindsights 20/20 though and at least you ended up all right.

after being on MMT, no matter how much extra methadone u take, u just wont get a buzz, same with any opiate, which was comfortating to know, which totally took all mental cravings away, yes we FEEL NORMAL ON METH, but to others, we do act a bit imparied. i just got off methadone 3 weeks ago,and now on subs, and now i see how sedating it is to ppl no matter how sober u may feel

my girl is on methadone, 90 mg/day and she reports that she doesn't really feel any sort of euphoric high off of it... occasionally she'll try to experiment by doing something like, getting her saturday dose at the clinic and then consuming her sunday take home later in the day. but she's never been able to get anything in the way of a strong, euphoric rush like doing dope or something, regardless of how much methadone she takes. she will report a bit of a "buzz" a few hours after taking her dose, and she also reports feeling more energetic throughout the day, but that's about it. i think that's just how it works. if you're on MMT, there is no way you'll be able to get a strong high out of it, regardless of how much you take. benzos can maybe help you get a bit more fun out of it, do note this is dangerous if you're not tolerant to both (or even if you are)... but she's got me to keep an eye on her and keeps her benzo dose small and things have been OK. but really, same as i tell her, you really want to focus more on taking this stuff to get right, and try get out of the mental mode of seeking that opiate high a little bit. if you really want to play around, you would probably have more luck just stashing your sunday take home and doing dope that day. anyway, good luck.

you took the words right out my mouth, the only thing u will get, is energetic feeling (as i always have on methadone), when i take more methadone on top of my dose, i notice a very very slight lift, but mostly the energetic feeling it once provided when i first got on it...i took 100mg on top of my normal dose, all it did was get me a bit buzzed for like an hour or 2, hardly noticable more energy, and held me over the next day with its half life....
