I'm a 61yr old guy who started to get high when I was 10yrs old( 1965). But it was the summer of 1967 when I started tripping on acid. The first acid trip I did was on LSD25 yellow saucer, and what a trip it was! You would peak after at least 8hrs and I was loving it! 1967 was called the summer of love, hippies and freaks everywhere and what a combination the drugs and music were! It really was a "happening". I had done a lot of different acid ( purple microdot, orange barrel, yellow sunshine, window pane purple pyramid (it was a 3D pyramid gel like hit and a lot of different blotters. When I say blotters I mean liquid acid on actual blotter paper. Now the hash was superior to any of the hash now. Nepalise fingers, Indian temple ball,Arcon,Afghan just to name a few. That was only the dark hash! The light hash included Lebanese red, blond, and green leb,Morrocan and others. We used to say light hash in the day and dark hash at night cuz the light hash wasn't as strong as the dark hash which would put you in a coma (almost literally). I loved to do speed ( my favourite meth was known as "peanut butter crank"). It was this pastey gooy kind of gunk but what a rush when you would shoot it up! To this day I still enjoy doing speed but I only drop it. But it's the pill marked "ice" on it and they are excellent! So to sum it up I am pretty much old school and I have a great deal of knowledge and experience that might be useful some of you.

Hi and welcome. Always fun reading about the exploits of those of our kind from the 60s and 70s. I think people my age (almost 40) tend to view those decades, especially the 60s, as perhaps the most interesting, challenging, and fun times of all history. Its like people like you BigMike, lived stuff we only dream about.

Funny thing though, teenagers and young adults now, seem to be starting to view the 90s in a similar light. Since that was the decade I was young and invincible as we all are when in our 20s, I can say yeah, it was fun, but not to the point anyone should think of the 90s as some golden era. I imagine the old hippies feel much the same about the 60s.

I was alive in the 60s, grew up in the 80s so last generation to go outside the house.

OP you seem cool. Welcome to the site. The are a few older members here I can think of.

Anyways I did read the post. Drugs today are different, so are people. I would give me left nut for the summer of love mate.

Damn, DM, didnt know you were that old. Not that its like you are a senior citizen but thought you were young. Sorry to hijack your thread BigMike.

Ain't you pushing 30?

Just remember I was younger once, still look the same if I shave. I get approached by women wayyy younger than me and still feel look and feel young.

Sure we highjacked it but that nothing new, Gonna be OK.
