getting close to the new oxycotin!

I don't know if any of you heard,but the maker of oxycotin[perdue] is ccomming out with the smart pill. Those of you who are familure with oxycotin,if you break or crush it,[for those of you who don't know,oxycotin is time-released oxycodone] instead of it being time-released,it distributes the narcotic[oxycodone] all at once.But with the new form there working on,[smart pill] if you atempt to break,crush or chew it,somehow it will make the pill useless! it will be just a placebo. Myself,i can't wait for it to come out,because i take oxycotin for chronic pain,and it has changed my life![for the better] for the 2.4 million peaple taking it for pain,its a godsend. But then you have the 100 or so that overdose from abuse,and give it a bad name.More peaple die from d.w.i's! So when this new version comes out,maybe oxycotin won't get as much bad press as it has. One thing is for sure,it won't be as abused as it is today.

sadley - new scientist had a small article regarding these time release pills - i also take theis med medically - but the second release never seemed to work properly.
turns out the manufacturer was being sued by a group in america claiming unecessary addiction due to the time release not working properly - i never did hear the outcome - but my cynical side would say that could also be behind the new release format!?i use this when almost nothing else would work - it can indeed be a godsend - i cant help feeling theres alot of other stuff to go take recreationally - please leave some meds unscathed by rec usage for us poorly peeps!!also - the media has blown it way out of proportion - until you get looked at funny if you even mention it(lol)- i guess thats the nature of life!i actually wouldnt dream of telling people they cant experiment in as safe a way as possible - i just heave a big sigh when the papers or tv shows start oxy bashing lol

No this particular brand of a drug won't, but other brands or opioids will. Victory! :\

The problem is not that people recreationally use the drug you use for pain relief. This should have no influence on your use. The problem is that you suffer from this because of the drug laws currently in place.

Whilst i dont deny every problem could ultimately be boiled down to the drug laws, and if any drug were freely available, this forum may well be a wee bit skinnier: the "abuse" or negative recreational use of Oxy has made it extremely hard for alot of people to get it when they really need it. I dont mean actual physical supply - I mean the "bad" name it gets in the press from press exaggerationof the od's, and negative trading of this drug, creates an adverse reaction in the willingness to supply on a medical basis-and i have experianced this in the past.
I wont apologise for irritating someone with my opinion - but i will qualify my previous post by saying that whilst alot of other drugs are far more(quantity - wise) problematic, this is the one the media bashes- and as a medicianal user i can help thinking its a shame that this particular drug had garnered such a bad name.#Shame on the docs and press who pump up the badness and deny the fact this drug gives life, sanity and pain relief to those for whom the scientific world has diagnosed with certain "pain conditions", and tossed into the "wastebasket" of "get used to it" because they are reluctant to prescribe a drug with such bad press. As part of a wider issue,I happen to know of people who have been denied ANY form of pain relief, and been on forums where members have escaped this mortal coil when they were unable to take the pain any more.
Until last year i was unable to wash,feed or clothe myself without help as i was in such a situation; I thought of frieda kahlo and perservered!
So, I'm "Sorry" if such a serious post spoils anyones fun usage, but it is problem that exists.
I thought this was a place for some serious discussion- I was being honest in stating that my personal experiance with this drug has been so fraught with denial,underprescribing, and indeed, laws which untill 2 or 3 years ago, denied this drug for non terminl carein this county(UK), that i would wish for those who want to play to leave it and play with other things more widely available. Thats not a draconian wish to ban anyone looking for fun with this or other drugs - just a sigh of regret at the folly of a world where this can happen!
im tempted to "report" but im so new to the board i dont know the ettiquettes.
Maybe the poster wouldlike to clairfiy how my wish for a prejudice free drug availability for thos who like me, nearly ended up wheelchairbound(im only 30 guys:) )is irritating? I certainly am not saying dont play with it - as - realistically, as stated above, and in the origional post , i believe, i know its the laws, and the press oxy bashing causing the problems at my end- not the users both recreational or medicianal- but a girl can sigh and soulsearch over the state of the attitudes to drugs in the world at the hour of the wolf,cant she;)
Happy to continue a reasoned, polite discussion- and yes, im a whiny liberal who hates to leave things on a misunderstanding:))
