Just like to first say not posting this for my personal experiences but rather just for common knowledge and pure curiosity.... Lets assume someone takes 1 80mg OC followed by another in 2 hrs which causes the non-high opiate tolerant user to OD and die.... Now the question is... If that person was to take some amount of uppers lets say for example, cocaine, methamphetamine, amphetamine, ritalin, keep em coming;) or any other stimulant in between the first and second 80mg OC at some point during the 2 hours in between doses would this counteract the effects of the OD? Like its just sites will post a lethal dose for certain drugs which I believe the number they get represents something along the lines of the amount of drug required to kill a person of average height, weight etc. but thats not just it... Its based on average people which dont have opiate tolerances which is true I hope... (Hope half the world isnt addicted to some type of opiate in any shape or form) Personally my guess would be something like at least 50% of the world has some type of addiction... whether drugs, sex, working, sleeping pills (drugs), or many other everyday hobbies such as internet browsing or video gaming... Not addicted as in need help to stop but.. at the moment are dependent on their addiction for either pleasure, stress relief, to numb pain, boredom, sleep, or the worst of them all simply because they are addicted want to stop but cant get away etc.... I had an off and on 5 year opiate relationship only in the past year have I actually faced withdrawal (Used occasionally while avoiding withdrawals for 4 years) Occasionally means started out taking about 40mg in a day and would do that 2-3 times a month... Than turned into 80mg 2-3 times a week... which than turned into 80mg to 160mg OC 3-5 times a week... Just in the past few weeks I used for I believe 7-10 days in a row .... quit for 3 days than started using daily again for about another 7-10 days ... I am now 3 days clean.. its 6:21am might as well say its 4 days now... But anyways Ive done 70mg ritalin and about 0.5 G of white which most people would say increases withdrawal uncomfortability... surprisingly no... This means my addiction wasnt as bad as some... Its the very beginning of day 4 and Im starting to feel normal emotion and feelings and all that ... I know some hardcore addicts dont even get to their WORST day until day 4 but I figure for pretty much anyone no matter how much your using after the 4th or 5th day your definitely going to start feeling better day by day... a lot of people say day 4 is the worst for them... for these people what opiate were you dependent on and what was MOA?... a few months ago I tried what I am retrying again (Swear everytime you relapse it gets harder even if withdrawal isnt as bad it seems you lose faith in your ability to do this permanently forever(by that I mean sobriety)... and I made it to 21 days... 3 weeks clean AND I STILL COULDNT SHIT SOLID...

possibly because I got a super fast metabolism and would eat 6 meals (sometimes 7) in order to try and gain weight while working out 3 days a week...

OR because I took about 20 2mg Immodiums over course of 6 days (until day 7 excluding first day)...

OR could it be because I started drinking I wouldnt consider it heavily but about as heavy as you can drink without being too worried about it... Temporary Seasonal Alcoholic (Drunk almost everyday but if came down to going to school or work have no problem abstaining)

Something I have trouble within opiates... Honestly longest Ive been away from any opiate is 21 days in the last 5 years and I know soo many people soo worst off than me... First of all I could only imagine the pain they go through with withdrawal if its any more painful and\or longer than my own...

Anyways... out of those 3? Which you think most likely or even what COMBINATION of these 3 you think most likely caused the diarriah to presist for 21 days (It was basically only symptom left except mild irritability, mood swings, light insomnia which is PAWS) So pretty much Im a week into the PAWS stage probably feel normal after a month or month and a half tops but anyone have advice or information pertaining to this? You would expect that the physical and psychological acute withdrawal would be over at 21 days... Is this one of the things that takes longest to go away for anyone else? I'd say after about 14-15 days I felt completely normal except I still would not shit normal... Not that I had diarriah but at this point I had not had a solid shit in 3 weeks... my ass was as burnt as I could possibly let it get and I relapsed... that lasted hmm... few months at least and here I am DAY 4 NOW! I would like to say with more motivation ever but 21 days was longest I had been clean in 5 years... In my mind now nothing means shit until I get 22 days clean.. than 23 than 24 ... 1 day at a time... Anyways I was wondering anyone agree it could have possibly been the daily immodium munching... If you wanna pretend\assume the bowels were just starting they're own detox hours after taking my last Immodium (Loperamide) than tech. bowels were only 14 days clean at 21 days... You think its possible my shits would have become solid within the next 7 days? It felt like I was slowly getting there body slowly digesting food more and more proper day by day less often bathroom visits not as brutal shitstorms... yet that felt like it was going on since day 14 all the way until day 21 which the shits still persisted in...

Anyways this time around Im doing all the same things... just a few differences...
only taking immodium (Loperamide) if i have the NEED to...

also I am eating slightly less.. (still more than average person but not like a fucking sasquatch).. I used to eat every 2.5-3 hours tops in order to try to get maximium weight gain in minimal time but honestly this time around i'd rather keep losing weight and become normal quicker... I eat about every 2.5-4 hours now try to wait until I am really hungry instead of eating as soon as I become hungry (which someone of my metabolism needs to do to gain substantial weight)....

I am also going to try to fight cravings face to face instead of running from suppliers and dealers... go to their house... smoke a joint.. drink a beer.. go home.. he has what I need I can get it with a snap of my fingers but I dont need it... (Personally I believe this is a better detox than locking yourself in a room where you cant possibly get opiates like most rehabs).. You gotta face the fear you gotta have the will power and resist you cant just hide from it your whole life... Personally I would wait until around day 7 to try this.... as time passes you get less cravings... Sometimes slipping just 1 day is enough to start everything all over just the way it was.... So avoiding slipping once can be difference between becoming a junky again and staying clean.... which is why the above fighting cravings face to face might not be for everyone ... best thing to do is lose those peoples numbers...

Anyways I really just wanted to rant because Im wired as hell burning time for a doctors appointment to get some stitches taken out

v. good attitude. im sure you will survive the addiction.

good luck with your (right) choice. keep us posted how it goes

I'm glad that you're doing well. I don't know many people who don't relapse from time to time and you seem strong enough to know this. Good thing you had the imodium and it's not uncommon to have loose bowels even after you detox. Keep up the great work and don't kick yourself for relapsing. ~theresa

i think you are onto something as far as confronting the situations instead of hiding from them. however, 7 days is NOT enough time to do this. you need to really have some time before you can feel be safe in those situations.
