So this might get kind of long
So last January a city cop and two sheriff deputies knocked on my door looking for two girls. A buddy of mine answered they asked for me. Well i was sitting directly infront of the door and on the couch beside me was a baggy with a 30mg morphine just one pill. When i walked to the door i told the cops (still outside) the girls were not there and hadnt been since the night before the city cop who i had always been ok with and had never caused me any hassle and seemed to like me interrupted and said why dont u hand me that baggy i said what baggy he said the baggy on the couch. I looked him dead in the eye said what couch oddly he did not laugh.
He said hand it to me or ill get it. Well out of dumbness lack of sleep idk why i did he looked at it said wonder what this is. Well at this point i figure im goin to jail so i laugh say idk looks like a morphine pill to me
He said well were gonna step out to my car look it up and decide what to do
I get my id out my wallet hand my wallet to my buddy tell him to bail me out and put my shoes on
Cop pulls me outside says theirs two options. Option A he bags it arrest me i go to jail option B i give them someone on a felony no paper work done no record. I said well i see one option.
Right or wrong i was raised u brake a law u do ur time not cause someone else to do it im not a rat.
He said well im going to hold onto it and come back in two days if u ant changed ur mind ur going to jail
The hole time i keep saying not mine i found it on the floor must have been one of the girls or some who has been in my house. I never admitted it was mine but found in my house by mev
Well i figured have a good few days then what little jail time its ONE pill
Two days later no knock at my door week later no knock on my door.
I ran into the cop at walmart all he said was stayin out of trouble.
Nothing has happen since.
They never filled out any paper work on it or anything when they found it. But i could never figure it out cause the cops hated me well all but one or two of them. Iv been accused of dealing buying all kinds of crap. Iv always said why would i be buying narcotics if u think im selling them and prescribed pain pills
Well a buddy called me earlier said he heard they were fixing to charge me for it
Idk why they would wait till now or fo it now. I moved out of the state( indiana) in june ant been back in town since sept. So why now its been almost a year.
I can only figure they never did cause they thought i was some big drug dealer and wanted a bigger charge. Funny if i was a drug dealer i wouldnt been piss broke 24/7 lol
Or give it was one pill my records cleaner then the presidents i would have got no time
So why would they wait till now to do anything. It could just be a rumor but im worried
Since its been almost a year can they even still charge me. And since they took it never did paper work or anything saying they took it from my house could they still charge
What the statute of limitations on it
