Getting a new Waterpipe! Need help on selection

Looking for function rather than artwork, like percs and diffusers, but ones that dont break easily. Trying to spend around 200-300$
The ones I really like are (copy and paste model on google and pic will come)

IMO the way to go would be a really nice straight tube with an ash-catcher, percs create soooo much drag..

As far as the ones you listed though, I haven't smoked any of them personally, but I hear biohazards are nice if you want percs but don't want to spend top dollar to get them.
 
In regards to Hurricanes, an old neighbor used to have one and the first time he showed it to me he tossed it about 20 feet into his kitchen to prove how strong it is. I was impressed plus the jets make the hits really smooth
 
a bong with a diffuser makes a significant smoother hit than a normal bong. and i like ashcatchers because they catch all the crap so i dont have to refill the bong water as much.
what is the drag? do you mean it destroys the milk?
 
Just get a straight tube with some ice notches and a regular bowl. You don't need more than that.

If you want to get something that will get you higher than any bong will get a vaporizer.
 
Sounds like you like what I like... For less than 200$ you could find what you explained.

Just look for a nice, very thick, straight glass neck, and ice catcher with a slide. It's all about preference. Something like that would cost around 170$. I personally change the water every time I am sober, so about once-twice a day if I plan on using it. I never needed an ash catcher, but I could see how'd they be nice. Simpler bongs require a simpler clean-up, which is good because I like to keep my pieces somewhat clean.

If you don't mind having to create more drag, get a diffuser for a cooler, smoother hit. Some complain it creates "stale" smoke, or that it makes the pull unnecessarily hard. I wouldn't mind one, but if I were to buy a bong, I'd go classic for less of a hassle. Percs are just beyond me, and way more than I want deal with or let my friends deal with while, of course, wickedly high.

That, and when my stoner friend drops it, I won't feel so bad about loosing a 3 perc, 3 diffuser, ash-catching, ice holding monster of a bong.

Truth there. Thats the only reason I don't like taking chances on percs. There are however rare percs that are crafted to near perfection and the drag is very minimal and is worthwhile but IMO its like a 1 in 50 chance of getting that. Ever since I got my dealers cup beaker bottom I can't say no to beakers. There similar to percs though and if there not made correctly they won't hit beautifully but if you find a good one there superior to straight tubes.
 
thats what i am trying to do, find a bong with nice percs on it that dont ruin the drag and are very well blown. i play soccer so i really want a really nice filtration on my piece ( i dont like vaporizers, they only get THC not all the other cannaboids)
i think ill stickl to what you guys said though and lose percs, unless i can find a really nice perc

i was serfin the net, and i found the rokit bong. this sounds like what im looking for, it says the smoothest hit known to man and the mother of all bongs. can anyone agree on that?

Yeah it's true. I bought a magic launch flightbox which was more than what I'd ever spent on a well made small glass bong, glass one hitter, or bowl and it does make your herb last longer.

I used to only smoke out of one hitters/bats, small bowls, and a standard sized bong and when you vape herb you can get very high from just a tiny amount and if you're into eating herb you can supposedly take the vaped herb/duff and cook with it.

When I used bongs I just used a small glass one that had a slight bubble in part where the bowl was and I also used an acrylic bong that was longer than the glass bong is and the base by the bowl went straight but then the part that you inhale from went up at an angle it was great for putting ice into and getting ripped.

Some people prefer a carb/shotgun, and some prefer a slide. I have used both and I'm really not too picky about either one.

It really depends on the perc you are using... dome percs produce ungodly drag as opposed to the perc trees. And different brands produce varying qualities of products. In all honesty, I've never had a problem with drag on any of my RooR or Lux straight percs I own (with the exception of my triple)... either of those two brands are pretty reliable to go with. I'd say some other good brands may be a Toro or a Sheldon Black. I personally wouldn't go with the biohazard, the trees look really schwappy.

u said in your OP u were willing to spend 200-300

u can get a damn good roor for 300

u dont need ne bells n whistles

get a roor straight tube (or beaker if u prefer), put a diffused downstem on it and a regular ashcatcher n you're golden

if u want percs n shit then i recommend the mini lux on the right in one of the pics red penguin posted

i have seen those anywhere from 225-300 n they are great bongs, good rip.



also, Redpenguin, nice glass collection, liken all the quality bongs n the heady glass %)
 
those luxs look nice but im almost set on getting the hurricane due to its great glass strength
