Gettin Down the Basics of Bluelight

So I have a few questions about the site,

How do I get a picture under my screen name?
What is an avatar and how do I get one?
How do I use the search engine so I don't post any unwanted threads?

To search, simply click the "search" button on the bar at the top of the screen, then type in the key word(s) you want to search, for example, to answer the first part of your question you might type in "avatar". You can also make your searches more condensed by doing an advanced search, where you can search for posts by username or key word, and you can narrow it down to specific forums.

As for the avatar thing, its covered in the Greenlighters Guide, which is linked in the green box at the top of the screen

Edit: I just had a quick scan through the GG and found that there is a link to "a guide to using the search engine" there as well. You should have a look through the greenlighters guide, its got all kinds of this information.
