Anyhow...Chrissie, I do see your point and honestly feel bad for the promoters...I do. I suppose I was just disappointed because I was really looking forward to the party. I didn't go...I hope everyone that did go had fun though.
 
I went, and I have a lot of good and bad things to say about it.

I definitely had fun, but there were several minor annoyances to deal with throughout the night. One of the bathrooms flooded and there was a huge puddle of nasty water off to the side of the dance floor, not to mention the fact that it left 1 bathroom available to accomodate everyone there. I'm not even going to get into how fucking nasty it was in there...and that was at midnight never mind at 4!! I actually ended up deciding not to drink much because I didn't want to go anywhere near that filth unless I absolutely had to. Then Irene blew out the speakers in the main room in the middle of her set, which was a huge disappointment. I went from dancing my ass off to barely being able to hear the music. :\

Other than that I enjoyed myself. It was crowded, but not as bad as I'd expected. I was able to find enough open space to dance (at least on the outskirts), so that was good...only bad thing was that it was ridiculously fucking hot, especially downstairs. The vibe was chill and I was happy to run into some friends I hadn't seen in a while and meet some new faces, as well as bring my friend Cheryl to her first party. I was also relieved that I stayed awake and semi-energetic despite working my ass off from 10-6 yesterday and not getting enough sleep all week.

The first thing I did when I got home was Lysol the fuck out of my sneakers to get rid of the nastiness I'd been walking and dancing in all night. Then I spent a good 20 minutes just scrubbing every inch of my body in the shower to cleanse myself of the sweat and grime and god knows what else that I came in contact with. But all in all I had a great time and have no regrets about going. :)

after merely 3 hours of rest and grueling over the nuisance of removing a worm virus from my system.... i can finally celebrate my enjoyable night at get lucky again. all in all i'm in a great mood!

first to set aside the lil annoyances (as i'm sure several replies may refer to) -jabba the irene blowing the speakers in the lower level -finding nemo in the puddle of water flooding from the women's room -heat level of 300* combined with equipment radiation, body heat and blatant raver odor.

and on to the kudos.
for the time given and circumstance THESE GUYS REALLY PULLED OFF A GREAT PARTY. i've never seen the muni so well vibed and it entirely surpassed my expectations. at first i was waivering on even attending but i'm very satisfied i had. for the most part i was dancing and being a socialist (heh heh) ah my legs my legs....

dancinxtcangel: definately a pleasure hanging and always a welcome conversationist thanks for kicking the moves on the floor.

kaydub: you still haven't shook my hand, and probly haven't listened to your voicemail either. you survived the grueling mess it'll only make you stronger.... and nipples harder.

eddie bizzunk: the man who i was determined to seek out... "hi seann" that was too funny.... always a gentleman and humor to the roof. thanks for hangin will do soon.

kermie: my distant cousin. thanks for the short chat, i'll see if i can get to a one nation party sometime. it's been too long since i've hit nyc but i think it's far past due.

knowledge: good job. now get back to work!

i apologize for what happened with the bathroom situation, but you have to understand that we could not forsee such irresponsible behavior on the part of one of our patrons. you have no idea how pissed off i am. if you think you feel disgusting, i was trying to remedy the situation for about 3 hours. were talking plunging and mopping up water. thats the reason why i didn't see anyone last night


then irene blowing out the speakers...on purpose....cuz she sucks.....a lot.....(rant over)


if i didn't have to deal with the stupid pety behind the scenes bullshit i would have enjoyed the party. the vibe was great. upstairs was unfortunately (happy hardcore, puke) packed until about 6:30. no drama besides the usual cast of characters you find at the asylum, just crammed into the muni.
all in all, if you were a patron, you probably had a very good time, if you were me, well that's another story.
i don't ever want to be working there when we help out the asylum ever again, it just was not a good time for me.

I wasn't blaming the staff for the bathroom problems, just commenting that it was unpleasant. Please don't take offense...I think you guys did a great job holding things together considering the circumstances. :)

Sorry you didn't have fun. I feel bad for you guys and I really appreciate everything you did to deal with the bullshit and make the party fun for us.
 
thank you for realizing this, and seeing it from our viewpoint. and believe me, we never have problems of this magnitude on our friday nights, which happen weekly :)

I had a good time, it's been a while. Props to the crew that fixxed all the bullshit. I know a lot of others would have just left the puddle there :T
 
I had this strange dream the other night. KayDUB and I were trying to stem the waters of an oncoming flood and defend the town that laid beyond us. No matter how many sandbags we threw down the tide kept coming and coming............
Ok so maybe it wasn't quite that dramatic on saturday night but at times it felt like it lol. Props to everyone involved for pulling together and turning an unfortunate situation into a memorable night. All the Muni's residents and employees busted our asses to make sure everyone was having fun and as comfortable as possible under the circumstances.

Thanks to everyone who came and had a good time despite the venue change and whatnot, overall there were many positives and a great vibe throughout the night. Extra special thanks to Frank Parallax for going above and beyond the call of duty :)
