Asylum

FORMAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM ASYLUM NIGHTCLUB AND COLUMNS OF KNOWLEDGE

Due to time constraints placed upon the skilled workers diligently working around the clock, the team behind the renovations and safety upgrades at Asylum was unable to 100% complete all the requirements put upon us by the building dept and the fire marshall's offices in time to reopen doors for this Saturdays event GET LUCKY on March 20, 2004 being presented by Columns of Knowledge. The Asylum is well on the way to completing all requirements and upgrades however it is necessary and better for the safety of the patrons and the future of the nightclub in general for it to remain closed this weekend so that work may continue in the better interests of a brighter, safer, more productive working envirornment for our dance community.

Please note The Asylum Nightclub is NOT permanently closed. More updates will be following www.truecrew.com Stay logged for details.

Get Lucky has been moved! All tickets will be honored at the Municipal Cafe in Hartford CT!

Here is the address of The Municipal Cafe:
485 Main St
Hartford, CT 06103

Can I get my money back?

Ummm...can we get our money back? The muni is mad small and certainly is going to be packed with no room to dance. Are the DJs really all going to show up? I know that I'll probably be assured that they will...but I tend not to believe such things. Refunds only seem fair since I paid for the Asylum and I am not getting what I paid for. This is very disappointing ESPECIALLY after being told that:

"I'd say there isn't a prayer in hell of this event NOT happening at the Asylum as scheduled. "

Please refrain from saying things that aren't true in the future. I doubt that I'll get my money back so it is 35 dollars wasted mostly due to the assurances on bluelight that the asylum would definitely be open.

Again...can I get my money back?

This sucks, but maybe less people will show so it won't be too packed like the world of DnB which was'nt too bad but the muni is small. How many people will they allow in and should i even bother going, if its gonna be really packed i'd say fuck that.

there should be atleast 10 dollar refunds or some shit for the fact that the party will now suck although the muni is cool its still much smaller and with all those people that were originaly going to the asylum it will be way too packed unless some don't come, and will all those dj's show up even cause thats alot for such a small place.

I've never been to Hartford. Springfield is an extremely long drive as it is, so I hope this one isn't too much worse.

I absolutely HATE places that are so crowded that there's no breathing room. However, I am not going to waste more money by missing yet another party I already paid for.

I've been looking forward to this party for a long time. It better not suck. :(

Gay. Im not going. I get pissed paying $10 to go to the muni...why would I EVER pay 30+ to sit and stew in a basement? The muni is fun on occasion...for getting hammered and acting like a jackass...but paying $30...hell no.

wait, what?

well i'm glad someone called me to tell me about this?

its a good thing i check bluelight because i apparently have to work on saturday night now....

hey frank give me a call

Kevin

ya kev, no one called me either.... I guess we have to do this again??? I'm not even sure if i can make it up tomorrow.

mike, i'm just gettin over a nasty bug, i've been in bed for the past couple of days. and on top of being sick i've got a shit load of school work to do. it's going to be interesting to say the least on saturday night.

doozer, you're going to have to email cok or true, nothing can be done over a message board

Please keep in mind that I have no affiliation with True Crew or COK other than being a friend, I was simply speculating based on what I was being told. You might want to direct any formal request for a refund to the appropriate party btw, it looks silly whining about it in a public forum with no affiliation to the promoter.

Instead of bitching about the size of the Muni (which isn't half as small as you think it is) you should be giving props to the people involved for pulling together and trying to salvage something out of nothing. There could have been no party at all (after almost 1/2 a year of work going into it) but Knowledge is going to cut his losses and throw it anyway. I hope to see some of you guys tomorrow night but either way we're going to make the most of this and have fun :)

Its not the muni's size thats a problem with me...mainly just the whole atmosphere.... but i do like the bar area upstairs a lot...i just don't venture into the dungeon.

Nothing in that was directed at you, I've seen you come out and support before :)

The venue itself doesn't provide the vibe, that responsibility falls on it's patrons. If you're there dancing with your friends, who the hell cares about the people you don't know or might look at disapprovingly? (That wasn't a very Plurrified statement now was it?)
