if your trying to detox off of opiates, i wouldnt reccomend using the same opiate your addicted to, to wean off, as you said you have an oxycontin addiction, and have percs to wean off. percs=oxycodone/oxycontin.. My suggestion is, when your fully in withdrawl, to take 4mg of suboxone in the AM, another 4mg in the evening, along with valium at them times to help muscle relaxation/anxiety. the next day take 4mg in the AM, 2mg in the evening, day after, take 2mg AM, and 2mg at night, if you feel you need it. thats enough suboxone to get you through the rough part of withdrawl from oxycontin, you still will experience mild withdrawl effects. the valium shouldn't be taken more then 3 days in combo with this. methadone is a recipe for distaster, you have to cimmit your life to going to a clinic every single morning for the dose, and clinics increase your dose as days go by, thus creating a bigger problem= more of a tolerance and dependency to opiates, plus if ur taking valium, you will be a walking zombie high all day on methadone. trust me methadone will effect your life in so many ways negativily. methadone is for people who dont wanna give up opiates so resort to it for the buzz, or people who cant be responsible to take there suvboxone and end up selling it for opiates, etc..not all people...methadone is the last choice for the opiate addict in my opinion. suboxone is addicting too and is just a replacement addiction. im no doctor but i suggest taking suboxone for 3 days once withdrawl hits you, at 4mg 2x a day for 2 day, then 4mg the next day in the AM, then 2mg in the evening, the last 3rd day, take 2mg in the AM, 2mg in evening. valium will help as needed for sleep/anxiety as opiate withdrawl will give, once again you will not be withdrawl free, but it will get you past the agonizing withdrawl. so this is when willpower comes into play!!
