Misc Genuine drugs that could enhance vocals?

Yep, I have a lot of respect for any kind of vocalist as they all require immense talent and technique.
 
I have read of Mucinex/guaifensin being used to enhence mucous production in vocalists.

The biggest factor in retaining vocal skills is avoidance of tobacco smoke. IME all tobacco does to most people is fuck up their throats and give them a lovely smokers' cough. The effect is almost never pleasant.

Thanks for all the replies, however i doubt i'll take up smoking any time soon %) i've ordered some nigroids, i'll report back in a few weeks if i notice any effects!
 
I doubt Kurt Cobain's voice would have sounded the way it did without cigarettes.
 
Singing and medication?...

So after research into vocal issues and medications used to treat such issues, I've come across a few which I think could work to enhance vocals for singing performances. The three main ones I'm interested are: gabapentin, propranolol and primidone, does anyone here have any experience with these drugs? And if so could you give your opinion as to whether or not any of these medications could enhance singing and vocals.

Exhaled vocals are much easier on opiates, possibly because of the analgesic effects?
However, inhales are just impossible to do properly while opiated.
