General Urinalysis and Marijuana

My girlfriend was recently required to take a urinalysis test for possible side effects related to another medication, and also a blood test. My question is: Is there a "general" urinalysis test, in otherwords a sort of catch-all test that would detect her having smoked recently? This isn't so much a concern as it is a question simply because we couldn't figure out what the standard practice on something like that would be. It's my understand that (drug)blood tests are more expensive and only accurate within a short time frame. I'm sure a lot of people know, any ideas?
