Gender Based Differences in Experience?q

I recently took 2 G. Spots (pure MDA as tested by the complete testing kit) with my girlfriend. I started to feel them within thirty minutes and by an hour I was well on my way to the happy switch being turned on. My girlfriend, however, took 2.5 hours to feel them. We both enjoyed several hours of wonderful euphoria and began coming down at the same time. During the experience, she had hallucinated alot more.

When it was time to go to bed, she was still "tweaked", though my comedown was quite gradual and relatively calm (compared with some such out there). We both took 2 1mg Xanax each and 50mg of Dipenhydramine (Benadryl). This really took the edge off my comedown and I felt actually quite good. She was still hallucinating and tweaked out. Finally two hours later she was able to get to bed.

We woke up this morning - I felt tired but great, she felt like shit.

What could be the cause of this difference? Keep in mind that though she felt them a good hour after I did to come up, but came down at the same time with a comedown more drawn out and rough than mine.

Do girls feel this stuff harder than guys? If it was simply a matter of sensitivity, I would imagine that in addition to the exagerated comedown, that she would have peaked longer, but she didn't. So I am at a loss.

Any ideas?

I don't think there are gender based differences when taking any drug - every body is different. My body reacts differently than my other half to MDxx. No matter how clean the pill is (or how little or much I take), I always have a problem sleeping afterwards. My other half doesn't have that problem. We all metabolize things differently so I don't think it's a male or female thing - it's a body thing.

Could be both.
Ladies have hormone changes that could affect how neurotransmitters respond to the chemicals in the stuff they take.
But yeah everybodys differnt.

But dose, set and setting are extremely significant with most substances - especially psychedelics.

Looking at dose, Karl Janssen points to research which shows that K has a more intense effect on females (reason unknown, but one hypothesis is that the difference in body fat might contribute to differences in absorbtion).

As for set, then due to the gender differences that we are subject to, the different "outlook" on life may well inform a substance experience in ways that represent male/female perspectives (again, may be more profound with psychedelics). If anyone disagrees, then look around at our gendered societies - it's impossible to completely escape. Babies are still dressed in pink/blue, male homosexuals called gay and females called lesbians, young girls still given dolls and males often construction sets and guns (nurturing v violence), skirts/trousers, makeup, sports (especially in USA - men dress in body armour and the women wear ra-ra skirts and jump up and down and wave silly flags about) etc, etc and etc.

I think personally that gender might well play a part in bringing about differing effects from substances - it certainly affects almost everything else in life.

Everybody just reacts differently. One time, me and my friend (we're both girls) took some MDA and I barely got any visuals while my friend was tweaking out. One time me and my friend (both girls) took a roll and she went to sleep 2 or 3 hours after I went to bed (because she was still feeling it). Of course gender may play a slight role, but I wouldn't based it solely on gender because all females do not react the same way.
