my name is Jan, 27 years old and come frome Germany. (sry for my bad english).

i have a big GBL withdrawal, i take 30-40ml a day since 6 Monath (its not my first withdrawal with the drug i have only 3/4 month in the year no gbl in my body . at the moment i cant sleep one second also with overdoses = no sleep, look like a mummy, ... like the most time with gbl .... atm i dose me down to 25ml/d with hope dont end in delirium tremens.

i get no informations in the www about "GBL withdrawal Gabapentin/Pregabalin) all User (the most) make the withdrawal in hospital or @ home with tonns of Diazepam. I did my last WD in the same way - but this wd i will use Lyrica Pregabalin 300mg , 77x Caps) Im 189cm 85kg. My big fear is ->>> can stop Lyrica, tremor,psyfuck,depersonalisation, and the worst caste THE DELIR? can he stop it? standard wd-medecine is Diazepam

Can you HELP me how to handle the WD with Lyrica? when i have not enogh Lyrica can i combine it with Diazepam (low)?

i know gbl since 3 years i know what a bullshit i do. my problem now is only the withdrawal not more.

Lyrica (pregabalin) will definitely stop most, if not all, of the intense withdrawal symptoms of GBL. It is the best drug for dealing with such withdrawals. Pregabalin will stop the neurotransmitter glutamate which is responsible for withdrawal symptoms such as seizures, anxiety, neurotoxicity, and high blood pressure.

The dosage has to be correct, and usually not a low one in the first few days of withdrawal. I've found 600 milligrams twice daily with a very low dose of benzodiazepine twice daily to wipe out any trace of withdrawals.

Diazepam is not that great as aid in withdrawal from GBL, G effects GABAb and diazepam GABAa although especially its muscle relaxing capacity will help. Although me found that after I quit G for good. In my days GBL, like GHB, was considered non-addictive, yeah right.

Pregabalin/ Lyrica seems like a way better candidate don't know what dosage I would use, it was prescribed once and still have some around. The 2x 600mg seems a bit overkill to begin with personally I would start way lower 75/ 150 mg 2 or 3 x a day, but I would re-evaluete along the way. It hits quite hard the first day and second then tolerance builds quickly to the bizar high it gives. Remember it can take up to 2 hours to start working properly before indulging. And what are your plans tapering the GBL then stopping and switch to Pregabalin? Not all that clear from youre story.

The combination of pregabalin when one is used to it a little with a small dose of diazepam seems reasonably save and the interaction is considered moderate. But keep your self in check cause you could get in such mood its eassier to take an third downer like alcohol or an extra dose. Or decide to take an dose of GBL or order some. Was going to say exactly this Phenibut has GABAb agonist properties like GHB so it should help quite a bit in small-moderate doses. I would be cautious using benzos, as they might do nothing or, worse case, get you hooked to another thing. I'll admit I'm not sure how helpful gabapentin or pregabalin would be though. But gabapentin is very cheap so might be worth exploring... Best of luck!

It does, but using phenibut for the withdrawals wouldn't be considered as a step-down drug as it would effectively mean replacing one GABA-B agonist for another. Phenibut withdrawals can be equally as horrible according to some anecdotes.

Baclofen would be a wiser option to use as a GABA-B step-down drug than phenibut (even though it has withdrawals of its own) as it could be tapered more accurately as in the case of ethanol withdrawal.

Good point. But wouldn't phenibut be easier to taper as it is a powder compared to baclofen?

This is a good tip only Jan doesn't have it on hand. How long will your GBL taper take, do you still have some time and cash to order Phenibut? I live next door, the Netherlands, so delivery shouldn't take to long. Check your mailbox Gutsy I'll send you a PM.

baclofen. when i was in horrid GBL withdrawal after a pretty severe 3 month habit where i used daily and 24/7. i dropped my last liter of GBL which i had filled into a glass bottle, and very quickly went into cold withdrawal, and it was the worst withdrawal i ever had. and i have a history alcoholism, so i went to my physician, said that i had relapsed with alcohol so he scripted me baclofen and diazepam. baclofen is a GABAb agonist, muscle relaxant and mainly used for spasticity, but also painful muscle related shit. it's use for both alcohol cravings and alcohol withdrawal is fairly new and not widespread knowledge among doctors yet, although it recently was approved in france for both maintenance and withdrawal.
the baclofen and the diazepam worked like magic, no more withdrawals
my regimen: (i'll leave out the diazepam since it was an adjunct drug anyway)
day 1. & 2. : 3x100mg
day 3. & 4. : 3x75mg
day 5. & 6. : 3x50mg
day 7. & 8. : 3x25mg

after which i dropped the baclofen. baclofen, while not abusable, produces horrible withdrawal symptoms in its own right. 2 weeks high dose baclofen gave me a withdrawal syndrome that was horrrible and lasted a week, so be careful.

edit: the first time i withdrew i did a GHB taper, PM me if you have questions about that. but the baclofen is definitely preferable.
