I weigh 130lbs. Adult male.
I received 100ml of GBL last week. In a way, I wish it didn't come.
First, I measured out 1ml (1cc) in an insulin syringe. I have read the dose range is 1.5-2.5ml. I put it in apple cider.
It has a chemical taste, not pleasent. In about 20 minutes, I felt a benzodiazepine-alcohol like feeling. It was slight, and pretty weak. I experimented with 1ml and 1.5ml with similar results.
Then, I decided to try 2ml at 7:30pm. I drank it in some apple cider again. Tastes bad, but probably not as bad as taking a shot of vodka. The feeling of warm, happy intoxication came on in only 10 minutes. In 20 minutes after drinking, I was really drunk. Felt like I had a few beers with xanax. Everything had motion to it, like getting really dizzy. Almost what ppl describe as "everythings spinning" when theyre drunk.
I felt really good and happy. This feeling lasted nearly 2 hours. I remember watching tv and I just passed out. I wasnt really sleepy, just relaxed and happy. I woke up about an hour later. I felt close to normal, except I felt an anxious stimulation. I had to be at work at 7am too. This anxious feeling was not cured by drinking water and taking 1200mg of neurontin, which was prescribed for me for anxiety, but I usually don't have it too bad.
This sick, stimulating feeling was still going on at 2:30am. I decided to take 5mg of valium that had been crushed into powder by accident, under my tongue. This started to work about 10 minutes later. The withdrawl slowly went away.
That was last night. I am on my lunchbreak from work now, and feel anxious. I think GBL is dangerously dependent forming. I would assume that it is more addictive than benzos and alcohol.
I think this stuff has the same effect and feelings as GHB, but its been about a year since I done that.
If you have an anxiety problem, like GAD which I have, you should stay away from this. Yes, it releives all anxiety when your on it, but when you get sober, things get shitty.

and the radical dose-response curve, puking your guts out if you overdoit even by a bit, the blurry, unfocused vision, torqued musical perception, disrupted spatial coordination, flattened affect, a definite temporary drop in IQ points - not to mention dissolving / eating holes in the least probable shit when you accidentally spill some. now for the positives?

^^^^^^^^^^^
Yeah, with some sodium hydroxide you can easily turn that into GHB.. A much better chem, that wont damage you system like GBL and 1,4Butanediol.

yeah, where does that shit with "a definite temporary drop in IQ points "come from? can I see the documents to back that statement up? I thought GBL was converted to GHB in the body? maybe it can damage your stomach at chronic usage, I don`t know. show the proof

i thought GBL is converted into GHB in the body and that GHB is (contrary to alcohol) *not* very harmful to your brain and liver...!?

GBL is a lactone, and the conversion into GHB requires a hydroxide ion, which eventually will lead to acidosis...so yes, GBL is harmful to the body.

GHB is virtually non-toxic. It is not stressful to the kidneys or the liver in any way shape or form.

Aside from the acidosis issue, I think it is safe to assume that the toxicicty of GBL is equivalent to GHB. There is no evidence of any organ specific toxicity, and I have done huge amounts daily and had blood tests that showed absolutely nothing wrong at all.

As far as withdrawals after a single use?

Nope.

I didn't get withdrawls although yea i did call it that. It was just a hangover with excess dopamine, i guess.

Good point, synchrojet, i do remember the professor in bio talking about OH- being a base, and it regulates the pH of the blood. I never understood why people mention acidosis till now.

That report was written at the beginning of the 100ml bottle :) where i was quite inexperienced with it. I was able to quit using it for sleep and just use it for fun about 3-4 nites a week. Thats, IMO, the best way to do it. Less being more.

yep, I agree, using it to get to sleep can be horrible, imagine taking it, going to sleep, waking up at 3am, completey unable to get any more sleep, having to wake up at 7am, but also at the same time being so tired that staying awake for a few hours is not an option either, I fucking hate when that happens, I want to sleep all night long, not wake up and be unable to get back to sleep.
