GBL Megathread 4: End of an Era?

It is a useful substance. It shouldn't be abused but we are only human.
Certain amounts over certain time periods are distinctly more harmful than others.

I will be bring the message of GBL for the next 5 days at least.......

I don't know why but on my official first day of being 'clean'. I wanted to do more. Meh.
 
Well, after hearing about this being banned, I rushed to order 500mls of this in four containers.

I hadn't tried it, but read up on it quite a bit.

So far, since it arrived last Saturday I haven't stopped dosing. About half way through the first 125ml container.

I've drunk considerably less since taking it (been an alco for a few years, needing a half bottle or more of a good spirit every night), and have suddenly been taking a third of the Diazepam that I've been needing. I've been on the Diazepam for about a year. In those regards, it's really quite amazing. Both my needs for Diazepam and booze have been cut by a third in a week with no noticable withdrawals.

A shame that I've become addicted to GBL so quickly! But considering what the withdrawals are like (from what I've read) compared to the booze and benzos, it's probably the lesser evil. Such a shame it's going to be banned.

I do have some questions though:

So far, I haven't been out more than once or twice since starting the GBL. All times were before I was needing it so frequently.

How does one go out on GBL? Going for a night out or somesuch? Is it possible to have a big night out in a nightclub or something without needing GBL with a heavy addiction? I can't go out without drinking. Will the booze satisfy my need for GBL? Could I take small (non effective) doses of GBL with booze?

Also, if one were to go out and take a decent dose of GBL without drinking, how munted would one appear? Would I look like someone who's on MDMA or something? Could I cover up the fact that I'm high on GBL to people?

I apologise about the nature of the questions. I'm just rather nervous about going out with my new addiction.

When I'm on G 24/7 I have to take a small dropper bottle with me wherever I go and top up regularly to stay comfortable. If not the anxiety and mad heartrate kicks in and is really no fun at all. Booze can help a bit but if you've been dosing around the clock for any length of time it's probably not such a good idea to try to stop suddenly. One of the drawbacks of any addiction is that you have to keep taking the substance at regular intervals to avoid feeling like shit. GBL is no different unfortunately :\

You can certainly dose lower than normal - just the bare minimum to keep the Badness at bay - but you always need to be cautious combining with any other CNS depressants. Booze and guice don't always play nice together so getting bladdered wouldn't be such a hot idea even if you keep your G doses minimal.

On the brighter side, I don't think anybody's ever noticed I was on anything in particular when they saw me on it. Assuming I had taken enough to not be feeling too ropey but not so much I was spazzing and nodding anyway :D

Yeah. I had a few doses today and I thought I might be fine but it's worn off now and my hearts racing. Oops. No more for me then. Bring on the beer.

500mg just before eh! I was too paranoid to do that so got mine in earlier....some would say too early.

Have about 1.5L to last till something changes with its availability. Was not going to take this christmas but felt so rough on xmas eve and had to be normal, sane, uncreepy at my parents for midday so after an hours consideration (that was as usual painful and shitty) I decided 5 days of controlled addiction is ok. I did it last Christmas and it was my favourite one for years...fucks sake I watched Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and FUCKIN LIKED IT.......no way would that have happened sober and deeply,suicidally depressed.

500mg 24/7. No happiness will be coming your day around day 20 - 27. You may get less pain,misery,anxiety,near-deaths and hallucinations, but its past the containable amount.
The containable amount being 250ml 24/7 for 10 days every 3 months for a year with a steadily and increasingly scarily worsening withdrawal.

Your the right kind of guy that GBL lines up in its sites when it picks a target. If you had a history of opiates addiction in your past that would also have added to your potential.

Thank fuck you haven't got 7 Litres for £100 or whatever it was in 2000. You'd have not done too well at all.


But we are here to save you. Even me. You aren't in deep at all and best of all you won't be able to get any when it runs out so you will not know the true and absolute horror. No one does until they either do the constant few weeks every so often and then one day move up to a month and go cold turkey and then it quite often keeps them off for life or at least 12 months.

I normally take a couple of bottles of coke or summin an work out how much i'd need for the night.. Just because your out don't aim to get fucked.. it'll probably go wrong. Don't drink alcohol.. it's shit an if you mix it it greatly increases the risk of spontaneous sleep and dysphoric nausea.


You could look like the most sober guy there or you could look like you need an ambulance.. depends how much you take?
 
1ml every hour for me during the day, this can be stretched to up to 3 hours depending how close to zero hour eg starting point we are at.
And drinking alcohol is sort of different as something in the gaba-B receptors responds negatively to alcohol...but not too much sometimes. It is very possible to not want a drink at all or just have 4 pints another night.
The only guaranteed way to fuck it all right up is to drink a bottle of vodka, then 4ml of GBL and then walk straight into any shop at all including the pub, but best of all will be a supermarket. A LARGE SCENE WILL BE CAUSED AND YOU WILL BE BANNED AND THEN HOSPITALISED...

If I am at home alone its 2.5ml every 4 hours unless I have a little nap. Never use above 3.5ml to sleep and that is serious emergency measures.Smoke like a chimney on it and eat like a pig,meanwhile off it recently I have been losing weight, hardly eating and never smoking unless its a bong to make me hungry.
 
Considering you have the highest post count why did you take off January - October in EADD or what seemed like it, as now you are here all the time. Like the addict you are! Have you been sacked or have you just decided that 20 posts a week is better than 1000?

That's GVL isn't it? Sure I've seen it somewhere but all my bookmarks are long gone. Pretty sure there's another related one that escaped the ban too. Was only GBL and 1,4B that got the chop, wasn't it? Wouldn't surprise me if some of the other variants start showing up on vendor sites soon enough. Those alloys won't clean themselves ;)

Then again, I imagine there's a reason they weren't widely available previously. 1,4B is pretty nasty stuff so it does make me wonder why even that was more available than GVL et al :\
 
BD only came out at the last minute, well few months. They should have bought it out in 2007 and I'd have tested it when I wasn't a stupid addict and come to a better conclusion about it.

I thnk that next time I restart my addiction....in a few weeks I shall take my first 4 doses of the BD rather than the GB as even thugh it tastes like who knows what there is some strangeness about it, eg its supposed to be less GHB potent, but the BD itself is psychoactive and this is why its is a noticably different feeling.

Also the toxix aspexcts may not be prevalent if I've not been fucking myself up so much with other shit or something.

Or the pigs have kicked my door in, taken everything and all I have left is what I brought to my parents which is not happiness, when somewhere about 1.4L of product is left for the horrible horrible mean beasts to feast on. Just realised I may have closer to 2L. And 2g of phenazepam too. I am the beast.
