GBL Megathread 4: End of an Era?

Benzo withdrawl will make withdrawl from GBL seem like nothing I'm afraid to say. People die from withdrawing on benzos, and it can take years to fully get over. It's something that you NEVER want to experience, even with a taper it's absolute hell.

Im gonna somewhat disagree with this.........Having been through both far too many times I will say that, for me, they are equally hellish. Benzo withdrawal does take alot longer to get over but GBL can be much more severe at the heighth of it. I would compare serious 24/7 GBL for months to, say, a real short half life benzo like alprazolam............INCREDIBLY intense, quick, and short. Ive hallucinated alot more during GBL withdrawal than with benzos and also had much higher B.P. and pulse. but the recovery is quicker. I recently went through 100mg a day diazepam withdrawal.....I tapered far too fast, but even at the peak it was no where near as severe as GBL withdrawal. But, it took over 6 months to even BEGIN to be able to relax upon waking or before laying down for the night.

They both suck. Avoid em

now im getting tastes of high dose pregabalin withdrawal. It too blows, in a brand new and exciting way. Ohhh lordy!<3

agree here, benzo wd is in someways worse as it takes so long to recover and for me has actually ruined my life, but GBL its over it 3 days, but very intense, to the point of me going delerious, acute gbl wds are worse, but the duration of benzo wd just takes the cake imo.

GBL addiction isn't great when you're on it tbh.

And so do most ppl agree, so i stand by my original point, heavy GBL use (no addiction) + benzo sleep addiction is far far superior to GBL addiction.

Atleast if your staying on GBL long term, i'm gonna use GBL.. hmm forever most likely, and if it takes a benzo addiction to do it, i dont give a fuck as i would stay on it anyway.

A friend tried this last night and found it gave her an intense headache shortly after dosing (t-0 - t-20) which then faded. She had not had it before.

You must be well hydrated to have it.
Some people get those headaches and dont focus on the feeling of the rush and never bother trying it again. Also some decent food with slight fat content is good 3-4 hours before dosing.

She just needs to try it again. Sometimes it doesn't do much the first time. Being hydrated probably wasn't a factor.

Had some g the past couple nights after not doing it for 2 months. I can now say without a doubt that the g was what was affecting my back. The muscle knots came back pretty quickly!

Also, 2 months was not long enough for me to get the magic back. I still wanted to keep re-dosing, no bueno.

For those of you saying what you should or should not do to avoid withdrawals, it really depends on the person. I wasn't dosing 24/7 but I did take it when I got home 'til I went to sleep (especially for sleep) for over a year and had no WDs. That's not to say that someone else doing the same thing wouldn't have problems.

i know that mixing gbl and alcohol is big NO NO. But lets say that I would be not able to take my usualy 1,5ml gbl and had only 0,5ml - could this be potentionate by drinking small beer to make it feel more like 1,5 or 2ml? i am not after stimulant properties, more after relaxation (i will be on stimulants). thanks.

I have experimented in mixing alcohol with GBL. Alcohol doesn't really potentiate the good effects of GBL all that much like the euphoria, just the sedation and fucked headedness. Also, I think I read that alcohol slows down the metabolising of GBL, meaning the rebound during the middle of the night will last longer.
On just GBL the rebound will keep me awake for 20-30 minutes, on alcohol it made me awake for 90+ minutes.

EDIT:
Its been 6 days since I last used GBL, I hope I get some decent effects from it tonight.

Really, just convert to GHB and you just get rid of all the shit. Rich coming from me having used GBL for 2 years before doing this but do as I say, not as I do dammit!

Coor, theres nothing like a GBL nap is there? One minute I was there watching a dvd, the next thing I know its 20 minutes later and Ive dribbled over myself.

Or the two hour I had slumped on the sofa with head on chest, watching the Korean F1. I got up early to watch it, and had fucked up on G the day before, and after a bashing from the wife "I'm leaving you" etc, I promised not to do it again, despite saying she could do whatever she felt most appropriate - if I'd said don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, I do think she would have punched me.

Fast forward to Sunday morning, 0700. I'd dropped around 4mls, and dropped a large bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes on the carpet, and abandoning it. I was in the sitting position, head on chest, and wearing the second bowl on my t-shirt and trakkie bottoms. Totally fucking out of it. I thought I'd just napped for a moment, but then my kid came in and said it was 1045! Fuuckkk.

Made promise to stop yet again. Made it through yesterday, then fucked up royally by doing 4ml before bedtime. G'd out totally - had the body snaps etc etc.

Woke up at 4am tripping like crazy. Every time I blinked I saw explosions! Really enjoyed that, until I remembered I was in the fucking doghouse yet again... and had the morning hammering from the wife to look forward to. I remember she called me an addict piece of shit. Which was a bit extreme, if I do say so myself, as I've only had a codeine and gbl addiction. Both were short lived.

Bitch.

ps - found myself swearing at the tv during x-factor! And getting crazy giggles. Just a shame its killed my ability to perform, as libido high. But not as crazy as it was the first few days of my first time with g

I have to side with the McP. Especially if your kids walking in at 10:45 with a bowl of cereal on the floor and one on your lap. You sleeping like mad.

Dunno how old your kid is but, if they're old enough to tell time they're not stupid and know these things are not o' natural.

Listen to the Mrs. I have in the past been verbally bitch slapped. Mostly for falling asleep on the sofa late at night or getting bitchy when told to go to bed. Learn your lessons and know your limit. Seems to me 4ml is kicking your ass pretty well. Might wanna keep to a lower dosage.

Due to getting a part time job and stuff now, I only take GBL twice a week. I had forgotten how beautiful its effects were, bliss.

Anyone reckon its safe to have a dose of G, 30 hours after taking 15 mg methadone? took 20 mg the day before. Is it likely to still be capable of causing CNS depression after 30 hours?
