Anecdotal and real life experience will de-bunk your considered opinion, and your research on erowid.
And yes....this is a harm reduction site but it is also a place to share experience.
Have you ever dosed 24/7 with GBL? Have you ever binged on 50ml in a 24 hour period?
If you do in fact have the experience then I will lay down my guns.
If you don't have the experience.....then get a grip of yerself, and stop coming across like a Tit.
Take a look at my posting history over the last year or so. Take a look at the long gaps from last December until my recent "return". Guess what was doing? If you guessed "recovering", you win a cookie. Care to take a wild guess now whether I have dosed 24/7, binged, or "in fact have the experience"?
It took me three months to regain the ability to fall asleep. No, I'm not talking your typical insomnia. I'm talking the ability to actually get tired, droopy eyed, yawning and sleepy. I have a whole new appreciation for the word 'lunatic', as it was originally intended. You think we're still talking liver and kidneys here? No, we're way past that. We're into the pituitary and hypothalamus.
It took me two months to regain the ability to sweat, rather than leech a thick viscous liquid. Promptly after which, I was blessed with dermatographic urticaria. Yay!
I could go on for pages, yes. My only purpose this time was to caution on the liver and kidneys, because of the mention of lower back pain.
Chrissie posted about a pain in her back in a GBL thread. Kidney pain does not have to be in the specific kidney area, it can radiate all across the lower back. I'm not a doctor, I just come from a family of doctors. To boot, I have tons of experience with alcohol and its effects and now GBL and its effects. Chrissie made an observation about her back. I made an observation about a possible cause. I'm trying to reduce harm. May I ask what those who keep claiming "this is safe", "this is non-toxic" are doing? Especially when they're using that language in the context of conversation where someone has explicitly reported a problem?
I'm okay with being a tit, btw. It's a nourishing organ, right?
Treacle, keep moving along.
