GBL Megathread: 3ml and Wobbling

Unfortunately, most hospitals just don't know how to and can offer little help. Even make things worse sometimes :\

That's what I did about a week into the wd's and they got me stable on a massive dose of valium and kept me in(sectioned me:o) for three days and then refered me to the local drugs team who kept me on the valium. It's gotta be worth trying and if they don't help you your no worse off

I really need help kicking a GBL addiction and I'm not sure where to turn or where to go.
Phenibut. Easy to buy online. You will probably have to taper over a week after you start using it, but it's a million times easier than trying to taper GBL, which is (IMO) completely pointless. Any advice you need, just ask.

i kicked a very bad GBL addiction after 6 months to, does your hear beat out of your chest when your last dose wear off? This will last quite a while after i have found. The hardest part i found was the sleeping, restlessness and the de-personaliztion, try to keep the shakes at bay with a couple of beers or some hard liquor (which i used) a benzo or 2 will be very handy in the first 3 to 4 days. You will feel shitty fora around a week or so, the believe me, you feels like a million dollars. i went 3 days cold turkey, the had one dose to make me sleep one night, then threw my GBL away. Don't keep it, because you will inevitably go back for more. I was up to 40 ml a day and needed 4-5 ml to get me off to sleep for at least 3 hours, sometimes even 2. If you have any more questions you are welcome to PM me.

When you have had 50+ withdrawals, a few beers and a benzo will do fuck all. You need a GABA-B agonist, or maybe hospital, not that they would have a fucking clue what to do.

Yes but he is not talking about 50+ withdrawals, i assume if he had experienced that many he would not be on here freaking out about coming off it.

Thanks Treacle, I've ordered some Phenibut and from reading the Withdrawal Thread, I'm going to try tapering in conjunction with the Phenibut and some Nytol over the next five days. I suspect it's going to be a complete pain in the backside, but I do want to do this, mainly to say a big "fuck you" to the doctors and drug advisors that have told me over the past couple of days I don't have a problem and they can't help!

Tapering just doesn't work with GBL, well at least not with me.

Doesn't seem to work for many, Harley. Does for some though so worth a try at least. Although I have a (very) vague memory of it being a bad idea to combine GBL and phenibut. It is a vague memory though so may not be the case. I know a man who will know though...

Yeah what i did when i tried to taper was i would taper all day then 'reward' myself at the end of the night take a huge dose, so all the work i did during the day was gone. I dunno about taking phenibut, you may just get hooked on that instead.

I disagree.

You can disagree all you want but it doesn't change the fact that it is and you are mistaken in your assumption. Not to mention incredible psychologically addiction too. If anything that's probably even worse. Getting through the physical withdrawals is bad enough - horrific, even - but can take a very, very long time to deal with the psychological addiction. Addiction has nothing to do with weakness - it's a very complex mix of things that are incredibly difficult to deal with.

Maybe tapering won't work, but it has to be worth a try? After tomorrow, I have five days off work ahead of me so I'm going to give it a shot, if it's clear that it really isn't working I still have a bit of time to try something else.

Maybe I'll fail completely and be just as hooked as ever, but if there's even the slightest chance of it working, I'm going to give it a go.

Proof please.

No, I don't have a addictive personality. Some people need to wake up and realize a crutch when they (more often than not, don't) see it.

What so because you don't have an addictive personality, it makes you immune from addiction? By the way, we already know its a crutch when we are addicted to it. Try taking it every day for a few months and then stop, tell us how you feel.
