GBL Megathread - 2nd dose

I think the reason alcohol & some antibiotics are best not used together is because the alcohol "somehow" decreases the efficacy of the antibiotic. So what I'm getting at is it ought not to be dangerous.

I'm on antibiotics :(

Please tell me GBL doesn't conflict, like alcohol.

Anyone have some good proof or knowledge on the case?

People who use GBL whilst on antibiotics don't seem to get ill and the antibiotics still to still work. Doubt there'll be much proof other than anecdotal out there - can't imagine there' been too much reseach done on the interactions of antibiotics and industrial cleaning products... Not heard of anyone having problems though.

No problems as far as I'm aware of, even with metronidazole, which you certainly can't mix with alcohol.

I'm coming to the end of my course of amoxicillin at the min, had g a few times now with no adverse effects at all. The stuff seems to be doin it's thing just fine.

I'm on that for an abscess. Why can't you mix this with alcohol? Anyone know the brief chemistry?

I'm cautious of GBL because it acts similarly to alcohol, but if it's the ethanol itself that's the problem, then I think I'll be ok.

I really wouldn't! Been there and done that.

It stops the break down of alcohol. It works in a similar way to the drugs they prescribe to treat alcohol misuse. You will be violently sick if you mix it with alcohol. I've been there and done that.

It's just not worth it. I used g last week whilst on metronidazole though and had no problems at all.

What's not worth it? Mixing alcohol and Metronidazole, or the antibiotic and guice? I don't really drink alcohol so that's not a problem anyway.

I havent had any G for a few days might do some tonight. Will be trying Valium for the first time too thoug, will this combo be OK?

I've personally found that the guice totally covers the effects of benzo's. Others have said the benzo's makes it not so good. After all benzo's are telling your brain not to fire neurotransmitters and guice wants to fire some off.I had some chlordiazepoxide yesterday afternoon and some guice a few hours later and it didn't seem as strong as it should have.

Have heard plenty folks who say benzos and guice cancel each other out. Not sure they quite cancel each other out for me, but it's not as good as either one seperately. I'd save the benzos (or guice) for another time myself.

Also, gotta love 24 hour delivery :)

I've taken your advice on antibiotics and have taken 2ml GBL on an empty stomach. I haven't had any guice in a few days, so this should be a nice night :)

I took about 1.5 ml to sleep tonight, however I'm still up talking shite on here buzzing so I guess I'm gona have to re dose in a bit.

woopdydoo.

Exactly what I have found. It takes loads of G to get a slight effect, after a dose of xanax, for me.
