I disagree. GBL is strongly alkali (as far as I know), and your stomach is highly acidic. It should have the same effect as a couple of Rennie (except the high off Rennie is superior, obviously ;)). Also, don't bother trying to find GBL in shops. It's very unlikely you'll find it. Google is your friend, and it comes the next day.
 
gbl is acidic isn't it? how come gbl plus a base = a salt if not?

in fact GBL is acidic i remember measuring it during a conversion and neat gbl is certainly more harmful to your stomach than rennie

My alloys are very dirty at the moment. I am presuming GBL will make them look all sparkly again?

Before I even Google this, I'm going to say that sodium hydroxide is an acid, and the two together make an almost PH neutral substance.

Correct, GBL is acidic. I was wrong. I still don't think 1-2mls of neat GBL would do anything to your stomach lining, as it would be diluted immediately, following consumption. Alcohol gives me loads of heartburn. GBL never does.

I'd still say that 0.4ml is a big jump - 0.1ml steps make such a massive difference - but, as is often pointed out in this thread, it really does affect people differently. Besides, the worse that happens is passing out and having a spazz attack. Just so long as you keep the spazzing away from public view, it's all good :).

I agree. The sweet spot for me was always between 1.5ml and 1.7. The only time i ever had any problems with GBL was the one time i got a little sloppy with my measuring, and i just lost consciousness for a bit in my own home.
 
i'm not a big fan of the twitches like some seem to be, kinda worried me a bit. love the fuzzy drunk feeling though!

got acids and bases mixed up? heh GBL fucks my stomach but my stomach's pretty sensetive these days

had a crazy graffiti cleaning binge over the weekend. Was abit silly because I was quite rushed at the time, so i could do LOADS of graffiti cleaning, like 5 times what i can usually clean...

Really feeling it now though :'(

Do you guys prefer GBL to benzos? I think GBL gives more euphoria and definitely boosts your mood more than benzos, which have been known to exacerbate depressive symptoms. However, benzos are far safer to mix with other depressants and are easier to taper than GBL and last longer.
 
^I agree with that. Therefore, I prefer G to get high, and benzos for anxiety. G is not a good anxiety solution, in my eyes.
 
Much more... focused and clear, which is why I don't think it's a great anxiety killer, it doesn't quite numb you in the same way that benzos and booze do. You definitely get more of a "rush" and tingles than with booze, or at least I do, and a kinda active but also sedated feeling, basically rushing around as well as sitting still both feel great; sometimes when i've drunk too much I really feel quite zapped and de-energised from it.

G also has way more of a crazy sexual euphoria, and gives you that kinda MDish feeling like you wana just jump up and down for a bit, laughing happily. :D

I did some the other day, 2ml over the evening and it was really fucking nice actually, and made smoking hash with people seriously fun. I don't find G hugely social in some ways though, it doesn't automatically get me jabbering, but conversation is still pretty great.
 
I orderd my first bottle of the stuff this afternoon at 4ish so hopfully it will arrive tomorow. Going to try 1ml to start....people think that is a good dose to start with or too much?

Also, I bought it from a vendor I assume you all use *snip*....how will it arrive? i.e. will it be boxed up?

Is it any good to use for a MDMA comedown or even during the high?
