GBL/cannabis while recovering from alcoholism

But you gave me a link that concluded:
that baclofen may represent a potentially effective medication in the treatment of alcohol-dependent patients.

And Methadone seem to be good for heroin addicts.

Baclofen isn't GHB. The major difference is one is extremely short acting and euphoric, the other isn't. You really cannot compare them. Baclofen is most similar to Phenibut, and Phenibut is its own can of worms. Ultimately, you have to decide what is best for you. But if you are like me, you can make up some totally crazy shit to justify continuing to use and totally believe it. Good luck.

Prevent you from having a possible seizure that can kill you.

Sure, maybe thats true. Maybe. But i swear your g.p. doctor is basically just your personal drug deale for meds you cant get at the store. You call him up and set an appointment. Then you go down to the doctors office, pay whattever fee is deemed appropriate, and wait some more. Only to have him come in and tell you your sick. Wow, really? No shit. Then you get the drink plenty of liquids, lots of sleep, and rest speech followed with these pills. Ring a bell?

In regards to addiction, its a crap shoot whether their gonna be informed on that issue at all. Then especially now a days, doctors want to stay away from addicts as much as possible. The way the laws and regulations are setup, its a liability for them. I can understand why they would feel that way. Like I said, a specialist is best.

I remember like 8 years ago reading an article about Baclofen being helpful for alcohol dependency. I wonder what the outcome trials were for that. I have not heard much…
I used to take if for spinal issues, it was quite strong.

Get a new doctor and tell him/her you are an addict immediately is what I would suggest. I tell mine I am in recovery every single time I see them, I view that as taking responsibility for my recovery.

We are not responsible for our disease, we are responsible for our recovery. One of my mottos.
