everyone says how pot's the universal gateway drug for everyone., but i bet anyone here could name atleast 10 different people who smoke bud and won't touch anything else..
- for me., i never liked weed too much, so my gateway to the underground drug culture would have to be x... after me and my tight little group of friends tried ecstasy, all doors were open to an endless supply of crazzier and harder things

just out of curiousity, what would u say most of your gateway drugs were?

My gateway drug was magic mushies, actually. That was the very first "drug" i actually did. Well, not including marijuana and alcohol of course. Tripping definitely opened my eyes to all kinds of other drugs, it sparked my curiosity for sure.
<3

probably ciggarettes, although i dont smoke them anymore. but as much as i denied it before, pot definately has the potential to be a 'gateway drug'.

The first drug i did was marijuana. it opened me up to other drug use, so i think its a pretty fair statement as i know alot of people similiar.

what do you mean "of course"?

I did LSD before I tried either pot or alcohol.

ebola

E was definitly a gateway drug for me. i used to smoke pot a bit, but never considered it a gateway drug, never really got a kick out of it so never wanted anything more. E blew my mind and got me into all sorts of other shit.

ANY drug is a gateway drug. You try somthing, you like it, you try diffrent things.
There isn't just one "gateway drug", there all the same.

I meant "of course", because those are (in most cases) gateway drugs for people. Didnt mean to make such an assumption about others' first choice of drug. <3

gateway drug is just another hype word that the media uses to create more negative public perception of drug use.

I suppose my gateway drug was marijuana. My real gateway drug would be methadone. It's the only drug that really made me whole. Most people I know start out with the whole "marijuana isn't bad for you so I'll stick to marijuana" but after they smoke for a long enough time they'll almost always begin to make exceptions and start their long and winding journey down a long career of drug use.

yeah because it's illegal
if you smoke pot, realize all the scare tactics and lies about drugs are bullshit, and your pot dealer and pothead friends know how to get other drugs, and youve realized that breaking the law doesnt make the sky fall down, other drugs become an option

My gateway drug was Vicodin, Ritlin' and Xanax all around age 14. ITs all gone DOWNhill from there since

my gateway drugs were a mix of speed and pot.
Now I've tried just about everything that's on offer in perth, bar lsd/shrooms

i tried ecstasy before I tried weed, but I'd agree that n the majority of cases that I've come into contact with, marijuana is the gateway drug.

i could name quite a few people who smoke pot and drink but don't do other drugs. But i could name soooo many more that started smoking pot and now do harder drugs...

Mine was weed, although i never saw what all the fuss was about until 2 years after i initially tried it :\

Smoking that then led to speed, then E then the rest... :\

herb, first drug I ever did. It really depends on the person, plenty of people are happy just blazing (and maybe drinking). Even people who do it a lot, not just occasionally, might not do anything else. Others tend to 'experiment' more and find shit they might like more, thats the case with me. I don't even like bud that much anymore, I mean I do like it sometimes, but I hate feeling all tired and shit when I come down and sometimes I end up depressed and shit while high, especially if alone, yet I continue to do it. Guess I'm addicted, and its just a lot more readily available than anything else, shit like speed and coke which I prefer a million times more
