I guess wild guesses pay off sometime. I figured there could not have been too many period pieces about Boston that involved police.

Here's a shot from a movie I'll never forget from my childhood. It's soon to be remade and I'm sure they'll do it no justice.

I was thinking Exorcist at first too but then realized that it said Boston on the police car. The Exorcist took place in Georgetown, Washington D.C.

This one is hard. I can't find it. I would have guessed The Village of the Damned but they already made a new one (which is the one I saw). And now that I think of it, the original was a B&W movie.
