I'm a little ashamed to admit that I didn't even remember that it was Roose Bolton that delivered the deathblow. I think I was still convinced Robb would somehow fight off the crossbow injuries and slash his way out. Not quite...
That's another cool piece of potential foreshadowing. I agree the hint dropping(most of which flew completely over my head the first time through) are really enjoyable to go back and check out.
It wouldn't surprise me a bit if UnCat thinks Jaime's responsible for TRW. Seems like regardless of how much blame she puts on his shoulders for that specific travesty, she would still blame him/all Lannister's for her families downfall/deaths. IOW's, if she's given the chance, I don't think there's much doubt Jaime gets strung up posthaste. Regardless of what Brianne has to say in his defense.
I'm really looking forward to that part of the next book(s). How Brienne handles her dual oaths to Catelyn and Jaime.
I kinda lean towards her ultimately siding with Jaime and bailing him out somehow from what he's currently being led into, before they get there.
Her only tie to Catelyn is a fairly brief amount of time in her service and the oath. She more or less rescued herself in Renly's tent.
Juxtaposed with her extensive experiences, love with/for Jaime, I'd think she's gotta save him from his awaiting punishment somehow. I hope she does.
So, basically, the rationale that it would be the right thing to do, at this point, to save him, must mean that she'll stick to her original oath and Jaime will be killed in some horrendous way.
If there's one thing that the author likes more than foreshadowing, it's gut punching character deaths. I suppose that's been pretty well established.

Oh yeah..... Can't wait for Season 3.

what the fuck are you talking about?

I was referring to the fan theory that Escher's Waterfall posted. I can explain it further. Mostly just speculating on what could possibly happen, going forward in the book.
I never get shit like this.... "What the fuck am I talking about?"
The internet is full of people throwing shit against the wall, regarding what could happen in the next books.
It actually makes me mildly depressed to see a response like that. Then I remember the context and what this site can be.

I have fallen in love with this show like none other... I am way overdue to read the books as well. G.R.R. Martin blew up on the Fantasy scene far past the point when I lost any respect for Fantasy novels (thanks Piers Anthony, you horrible horrible man).

(Book #3-5 spoiler)

Basically, [SPOIL]Bolton[/SPOIL] made a comment while [SPOIL]killing Robb[/SPOIL] implicating [SPOIL]Jamie was behind it[/SPOIL], even though [SPOIL]Jamie[/SPOIL] had nothing to do with it.

Since [SPOIL]Cat[/SPOIL] was at the [SPOIL]Red Wedding[/SPOIL] and now it looks like [SPOIL]the Brotherhood without Banners has Jamie[/SPOIL], it may be that [SPOIL]Jamie[/SPOIL] will be executed for a crime he didn't commit.

only 11 more days to go everyone! Really interested to see how they make this series, i've read the books whilst waiting for it to arrive if you enjoy the series really recommend them. For all of you that haven't read them your in for a hell of a treat :)

Now back to drawing pictures of Khallesi and her dragons :D

Thanks. :).

And, I was saying that, IMO, the theory is a good catch and probably correct. I just feel that Cat already has so much hate for him from his previous actions, whether or not she blames him for the TRW may be immaterial. She'll be 100% pro-death, regardless.
It's all a matter of if Brienne makes good on her most recent of oaths(shouting the unknown word, apparently swearing to deliver Jaime) or if she bears too much love for him, and bails him out somehow. At the price of her supposed honor. I'm looking forward to reading how it plays out.

Hopefully our dual explanations cleared up what the fuck I was talking about. :|.

One more week. FUCK YEAH! I bought a sweet ass 60" LCD TV about 1.5 years ago, and I haven't even used it in like a year. LOL However, I will be sitting my sweet ass right in front of it, in the dark, with alcohol and possibly popcorn on the 31st.

Book 3 is my favorite, so I am so so excited for this season. Then it's True Blood! Best TV time of the year.

also, just a friendly reminder that Cersei Lannister drowned her best friend in a well when she was 10.
by age 11, Arya Stark had killed 5 men and was at least partially responsible (hey hey h'gar!) for several others.

The North Remembers....

yes haha i went to the exhibit in NYC today.
i'll make a big photodump here in a bit, there wasn't a ton of stuff.. it was pretty small (it was totally free though, including the free pic and free print of it), so i can't complain.
so excited! :)

i finished clash of kings and managed not to read ahead of the show. i'm sticking true to my guns guys.
my friend kind of spoiled the red wedding but not really because i all ready knew 1 main person who goes down, and then i figured what would happen with a certain family taking over a certain local would occur after that, as they were clearly making moves book 2.
but, happily to say i know of no other deaths besides 1.
and i know no other spoilers really for the rest of the series...besides

the 2nd targaryen..whatever. and i surmised arya would go to braavos season 1 after her dancing master. so i mean, not a spoiler if you called it..

think i'm doing well at avoiding it, this thread doesn't make it easy!

^I was gonna come here and ask if anyone had been to any of the exhibits.
I saw they had some articles of armor, some swords, etc. The throne(obviously.)
That's disappointing it was pretty limited. I considered making the drive down to NYC. Kinda glad I didn't now.
I would also love to see the rest of the photos you took.

2 more hours. Seems like it's been an eternity since last season.

Great episode. This series remains stubbornly immune to any variant of the sophomore curse. What I liked most:
NSFW:
*The revelation that Littlefinger really did recognize Arya at Harrenhal.
*Tyrion getting his digs in at Cersei.
*Cersei getting her digs in at Joffrey.
*The warm-up for the Danaerys of the later books, and seeing Selmy again. :)
*Giants!

Totally stoked. Totally drunk, too, but that can't be avoided.

wow. THE DRAGONS ARE GETTING SO BIG <3 :')

loved everything. everything. mm<3
one question though, i recall at the end of the second book [i'm reading in step with the show so don't spoil the future for me in answering this] that dany was leaving qarth it was...or at the new city, i forget. but 2 men stopped her from getting hurt from the bug thing, and it wasn't a child that tried to kill her? unless i'm wrong. i remember while reading that part was hard for me to follow for whatever reason and i had to re-read it like two or three times and was still kinda like, wait what? but, i do not remember selmy being one of the guys that swore to her. and what about the other? unless i'm all wrong here. can someone clairfy?
and what was the deal with that child? dany murmured something to jorah after that seemed a recognition of whatever it was..i am confused..i don't remember it going down quite like that at the end of book 2.

i'm also very pumped for that dinner they had at the end of book 2 as a teaser for 3 with the tyrell's and sansa.
margarey! <3 she was presh.

i'll post my exhibit pics in a minute.

The giant and the dragons looked pretty great. CGI, all around looks a step up. The shot of Drogon(?) tossing and roasting the fish was awesome.
NSFW:
The only change they made that bugged me was cutting out the whole Arstan angle. No Belwas. Sucks.
No Sorrowful Men, either. Just a demon warlock child. The manticore was cool, though.

The other thing that's bordering on comical is that the writers/adapters would change the details of The Unsullied's training from they had to raise a puppy and then after a year kill it to, they had to go and pay for a baby and murder it. More acceptable/palatable?

Just picking nits.
