I was hospitalized again for my gallbladder. My doctor has me on a bunch of meds. I cannot eat nor go to the bathroom. Due to my extremely sensitive gallbladder I don’t know what to do. I’m slone and ignored by family. My healers say go do more psychedelics. I’m lost and sad

Why not get it removed?

I don’t know cause it’s from all the drugs I do and if I stop doing them maybe I can save it…? Idk. I’m meeting with some doctors to see what the deal is next week. Hoping to get some answers. They’re not sure it’s from the drugs tho…

try keep your mind away from it until the meeting next week as much as possible, and try refrain from harmful activity

obvious I know, but reminders are helpful

I have a friend who was a sometimes drinker, but generally pretty moderate need his gallbladder removed after an infection.

If you are having trouble eating, could you drink Gatorade or something else sugary just so that you are getting calories?

I think most of these conversations need to happen with your doctor, I feel like beyond self-care advice, we aren’t really going to have super pertinent answers for you.

I’m having trouble eating. I think it’s from the opiates benzos over the years but mainly from my heavy ketamine use that’s developed over the last year. Man life’s is wild right now

No appetite (probably from the meds and anxiety not so much the pain anymore. They gave me hydromorohone and morphine and dicyclomine and famotadine and that has made the pain go away. But zero appetite. Excuse some of that spelling I’m not sure it’s correct.

Can you stomach nutrition shakes? How long until you talk to the doctors? The drug combo you are on will certainly slow gastric emptying, so you will be full for longer and more constipated (also the spelling is close enough that I know what you are talking about, and beyond that it doesn’t matter).

So if you have gallbladder issues you really want to stay away from fatty foods. It's possible you have gall stones and that's what is causing your discomfort. I'm guessing you haven't had an ultrasound yet. I had mine removed from stones about 15 years ago. I felt like I had a slight cramp under my ribs on the right side. That was my only symptom. It didn't really go away though. I finally went to the ER after a month and they scheduled me for surgery 2 weeks later.
I worked in the operating room for 6 years and I can tell you removing the gall bladder is one of the most common surgeries done. I've never heard of issues starting from drug use, but I found an article you can read. Maybe it'll help explain things if it's similar to how you feel.
