Gabepentin and Pregabalin for Anxiety

I've been on every anti-depressant under the sun and none of them seem to do anything for my anxiety and benzos just aren't an option for me. I read a lot of reports of Pregabalin and Gabapentin for anxiety and recently got my hands on some gabapentin, it works really well but it's quite expensive and hard to source on the black market. I'm due to see a psychiatrist in a few months so I'm going to talk to him about it but I was wondering if it's worth seeing a GP in the meantime. I mentioned Lyrica to one GP about a year ago and was shut down and they just tried pushing SRRI's onto me. Would it be worth bringing in a paper on how it is effective for Anxiety or is that a bad idea?

gabapentin was good for anxiety in the beginning but gave me absolute crippling brain fog and sexual problems..

ssris did seem to decrease anxiety but made me completely apathetic and lazy...lethargic too..

i have yet to find something that works for anxiety that doesnt cause a whole new set of problems..

I took gabapentin, it actually helps the anxiety at first but after a while it does NOTHING. I would take it and nothing would happen. It only worked once for me.

I recently wanted to test these myself for this but doc said no. I do miss some of your typical GABA drug effects, like zolpidem, which was great but tolerance changed it alot. Also the only benzos that are really worth bothering with for me are the stronger Xanax bar level dosages.

Anyways currently the solution for general anxiety and schedule has been 3 days kratom usage, 2 days benzo usage, which will allow daily but safe non addictive treatment. Kratom is really amazing though, i would use it every day over benzoz if i could.

I wish there where other GABA drugs to consider. What I would love to see is a stronger zolpidem based drug that lasts longer and has less of the ridiculous tolerance issues. Something like this also combined with its existing qualities such far far lower physical addiction issues, easier to get perscribed and far greater euphoria and mood enhancing effects then normal benzoz, would make this an awesome drug.

Ah I'd love to try Kratom but unfortunately it's illegal in Australia and I don't think there is any black market for it.

Doc just prescribed me the Effexor rx (I think its called) had one capsule, and never again. Was absolutely lethargic, tired and dizzy for 3 days. Nothing so far has worked for me.
