I have access to Gabapentin.
I wonder what is this and what sort of "high" effects would you get from it?
What other drug is it like? MDMA? Or..?
Can you mix it with opioids?

Its nothing like mdma. Yes you can mix it with opioids. Google it..

Or, go to the list of megathreads, and check out the gabapentin megathread. There is a slew of info in there. I am on my cell, otherwise id provide you with a link...

I am prescribed it and take 600mg 4x a day. I feel nothing from it because tolerance is built QUICK.

As far as I know, they wont mix in a bad way. Id suggest looking at the megathread, but also googling gabapentin and seeing which meds you arent supposed to mix with it. I think you can take it with most things.

Can it interact with fluoxetine or pronpanolol?

No interactions with these drugs. Can mix with opioids but get to know it first. It's effects on respiration are not as pronounced as benzodiazepines but always take caution and extreme care in titration when mixing new substances together.

Highs are subjective but it's no MDMA. Close to GHB in terms of effects. Has that same warm, comfortable, sociable feeling.

Nothing like MDMA whatsoever. Feels like a typical anti-seizuire drug but maybe a bit more enjoyable; like a weak benzo. It doesn't have much charecter on it's own, but it mixes well with almost everything. I think it is a bit like GHB in that it can have a weird paradoxal stimulation/sedation thing going on.

If you take too much of it you'll just feel kind of sick and jittery and fall asleep. It won't get you high. It is prescribed sometimes for those detoxing from opiates and it really helps with some withdrawal symptoms like insomnia and RLS, although apparently you can develop a tolerance.

It is also prescribed off label as a mood stabilizer. One thing I have noticed about gabapentin is that, at high doses, it gives me some fairly decent closed eye visuals. On the downside, some people get terrible withdrawals from it I think.

It won't blow you away but definitely has some recreational value. Great for withdrawals of any kind - very versatile in that sense.

Does have the same poor side effects as other anti-epileptics. Carries the risk of dependance, addiction, and withdrawal. Also probably causes the fastest rising tolerance of any pharmaceutical, along with its sister drug pregabalin.

I disagree that it has no recreational effects. I am currently staggering my way up to 5g of gabapentin with peanut butter and a small amount of popcorn with plenty of hot sauce. Capsaicin and healthy fats increase the bio Abv of gabapentin. This and pregabalin are two of my favorite highs.

It absolutely can be compared to a very light mdma roll. It increases appetite and is great for withdrawal.

^Some people really like it and some people have no positive reaction to it. I think it's kind of like Tramadol in that it's pretty much a depends on the user thing whether or not there's any recreational value.

It really breaks down anxiety for me, better than benzos, but I don't really get a high from it. All I get is this really dumbed down and calming feeling. it's good for hunting, it really takes the edge off the blistering cold and hours of sitting in one spot perfectly still. Though I've never gotten euphoria from it i have gotten really strange body sensations that I can't really explain but I do enjoy.

When I first took gabapentin I was withdrawaling from xanax. Not a lot but enough to make me hurt. I first noticed the enjoyable feeling of drunkiness even tho i hate to drink. I went thru 90 100 mg pills in like two days lol but the withdrawals from that was disturbing so be careful. It will give you a buzz. i was talking to my Pharmacist who said there looking into controlling gabapentin because so many people are getting high on it. i was like yup I'm pretty sure since Lyrica is already there that gabapentin is well on it's way.

The only thing stopping lyrica from being tightly controlled is its expense. Pregabalin is licensed to some pharma companies but it's still costly. Once you start getting multiple generics like gabapentin lyrica will immediately snap into focus and begin to become controlled in the same manner as benzos because it's an extremely potent chemical.

qft.

Ya but gabapentin has been generic for like 15 plus years or something like that. I may be wrong and it's still not controlled. Drug forums don't help the case for others who need it because they talk about how high they got of of it....I'm included in that so I'm not judging. We just made the case bad by ourselves.

^ yeah but lyrica blows gabapentin out of the water when it comes to potency and recreational value.

To me gabapentin does the exact same thing, Tolerance doesn't rise as fast if you stagger and lyrica is like one big rush with no anxiety......Just when it comes time to either watch your pills because you running low your going to hurt just like with gabapentin but I noticed with gaba that I can handle it, with Lyrica I can't. I'm on 400mg of gaba 4 times a day and I like the dose I'm on. If your like those who ate all their pills in two days and suffer no withdrawals because you have never let the pills really dig down into your system well this doesn't apply to you.......
