gabapentin (neurontin) Questions

Hi, new user
But anyways i found 4 of theese 300 MG gabapentin pills in my drawer and was wonedring if they had any recreational potential at all

Will i get high if i take all 4 of theese?
i usually use tagamet to intensify my benzos can they do the same for gabapentin?
What if i smoke a bowl on top of it?

Gabapentin is only moderately recreational. Not everybody finds it fun. I don't know if 1200mg will give you a buzz or not, it's sort of a low dose for Gabapentin. Tagamet will not increase the effects of Gabapentin. Smoking a bowl will increase the effects like most other drugs.

gabapentin can be recreational, they'll give you a drunk like feeling.

It can be used recreationally, though i noticed it was only effective the first few times i dosed after that it slightly helped with anxiety. I remember the first time it felt like a mix between mdma and benzos, but could never come close to that after.

I like to take them occasionally for energy / recreation in the 1.2-1.6g range. Gabapentin effects me like a stimulant without added anxiety. YMMV.

It also should be noted that it helps me out more than even benzos have -- unless at a stupid dose =P -- with social anxiety. It loosens me up, and I leave my pre-talk mind and enter into reality, finally.

EDIT: Remember to take it in many smaller doses, frequently. Like 100-200mg every 45 min. In another thread I believe it was concluded that this style of dosing yields better absorption.

I prefer pregabalin to gabapentin but for obvious reasons. Pregabalin is estimated to be 4 times more potent. (good starting dose of pregabalin 300mg/600mg = 1200mg/2400mg gabapentin) Remember that your tolerance to gabapentin can raise really quickly.

know neurontin helped me get through vicodin w/d's I wonder if it would work for tramadol w/d's.Maybe take 900 mg of neurontin and some HTP?I take about 15 50mg pills a day sometimes more sometimes less.I have been on them for about 4 months now.I wonder if I tapered to about 4 pills a day and then quit cold turkey and start neurontin for about 1 week along with the 5-HTP if it would help the w/d's.I have to work and have no time off for a long time.When I was addicted to about 100 mg of vicodin a day or more I took neurontin for about a week and a half and did fine.I can order the neurontin online and get the 5-HTP at the store.I also have some lexapro left and wonder if that might help.Anyone quit trams with neurontin?

Pregabalin & Gabapentin are very effective for withdrawals from both opiates and benzodiazepines. I was able to end an 11 year addiction with the help of pregabalin. Accompanied by a slow diazepam taper, I felt nearly no withdrawals. They should prescribe the two for those going through withdrawals of either opiates or benzodiazepines.

gabapentin(and it's spin-off, pregabalin) and the anticonvuslant/mood stabilizer Depakote feel unusually similar. they do both increase GABA in the brain.

i'm Rx'ed Depakote for benzo tapering and it works extremely well, i haven't felt any discomfort whatsoever from this benzo taper and i'm tapering at a bit of a faster rate(1-1.5 week dose reductions).

Depakote really needs to be looked into for benzo tapering/withdrawl.
