Gabapentin/Lyrica Depression vs Benzo Depression

Alprazolam has known anti-depressant effects. The other benzodiazepines are likely to produce an effect similar to that which you experienced with gabapentin.

I take 400mg gabapentin 3x a day. (1200mg) And i also take klonopin from my lovely new psychiatrist, i have the option to switch to xanax on my next appointment but don't want to get hooked on xanax because it can create worse depression than gabapentin in the long run. But if you use them a few times a week or so they make you way less depressed than stupid gabapentin. I hate my old fucking psychiatrist because i am dependent on the gabapentin and am scared to stop taking them because they have real bad withdrawals. In terms of depression and anxiety they helped a tiny bit but i always feel foggy and spaced out in a bad way

I was going to start a new thread called "Lyrica vs Xanax side effects", but that would probably be pointless seeing as how I already have this thread o:
My doc said he was going to start xanax xr with me next friday. I was wondering-because I know he would rather increase the Lyrica then start me on a benzo-in your guy's expierence, which one has fewer or less worse, side effects. The main things I'm worried about, is Music Appreciation (which I think Lyrica could actually increase [: ) and slumped posture or selective mutism, which I think Lyrica can actually cause o:. If anyone has any input it'd be much appreciated [:

Man that is hard to predict how you w8ill feel also this is dose dependent so for example i never felt at first the amount of 450 mg and asked some more from my shrink and he wrote me 900 mg a day of which i take 600 mg, but combined with benzos and that is a big mistake combining lyrica and benzo in my extent. whereass the buzz from lyrica disappears in 2 days due to tolerance i take it for a year and a half now and it keeps potentiating the other drugs i take.
Question : the past 3 weeks i took on a daily basis once a day 4 mg alprazolam combined with lyrica, which complicates matters, but you could say easily 3 times potentiating so no 4 mg alprazolam are taken the real tolerance number is likely to be more to the 12 mg mark.
I did this for three weeks tomorrow the xanax is gone (i can get loads more, but all to all i am not that impressed about how xanax works temazepam is a better benzo in my opinion), but anyway what will wait what will happen when i cant take thosae 4 mg xanax with booster, any thoughts maybe? Is there already some dependence extent behind 3 weeks? Shit two hours ago i dropped 400 mg oxazepam that are 8 fifyty mg pills, but this amount equals 8 mg diazepam and i have felt better after 200 mg oxazepam so the xanax is missed, sure i could also take 600 mg oxazepam and see where that would get me, in the copo station i guess
, but my point is that i have enough benzo from as well the type who can give you a buzz as well the type who can be used against withdrawals in a high enough dose.
Yes i also think that your first lyrica experience will certainly not mess with your music appreciation, but a calm mind is more capapble to think about matters compared to somebody stressed by nature, without substance use that would be.
Any thoughts about where my xanax tolerance may be? How much lets say diazepam do i need to substitute for the 4 mg alprazolam? 80 mg diazepam would equal 4 mg alprazolam, but where 4 to even 10 mg xanax doses are not uncommon there is no doctor who would write 80-200 mg diazepam to cover for 4 and 10 mg.
Regarding lyrica if you never used this and you get ever in problems with benzo's then you will find out what a great action lyrica has against benzo withdrawal in a high enough dose let say start with 150 mg can you tolerate it double the 150 then 300 gets doubled and the max amount is reached, but if you use lyrica like me as benzo booster with already highly potent benzo's then where is my tolerance more or less?
A 400 mg diazepam tolerance wouldn't amaze me my luck is that i never really needed a benzo for anxiety or sleep so when i stop one after a while taking the benzo i sweat, feel nervous(some anxiety), less well sleep and some more unpleasant things, but i am so curious about thoughts frtom people who think to have an idea where my benzo tolerance is with lyrica used too.
Two weeks ago i forgot accidentally to take my once a day 600 mg lyrica the shrink always said it would not cause dependence well he was wrong so two weeks later the day after in the gym my nose kept running, i had to sneeze repetively you know and more unpleasantness i did finish the training though, but i still didn't know why i kept feeling even worse then it hit me the lyrica the day before forgotten en it's reward to me then is withdrawal. What i missed was the potentiating effect from lyrica i have no idea if i felt something from not taking the lyrica, but when its simply a matter of missing the potentiating then i use another med for that reason shortly to skip lyrica for say a week as of today.
