My friends been eating 8 Gabapentin pills at a time to get high. Sometimes he injects half or all of the pill (he just pours the powder out of the capsule and mixes it in with water. Sometimes he heats it.)
Is this safe?
Does it really get you high?

I'm considering trying to bang some.
How would I go about preparing the shot (the correct way)?
Do I heat it?
Do I have to do anything special to it?

Please feel free to tell me not to do it, but harm reduction for doing this correctly would be nice, too.

Do not inject gabapentin..... It's not worth one's time for recreational purposes in any way shape or form, unless you're a chronic pain patient and can handle how rapidly tolerance builds to it, just like pregabalin. PLEASE do not inject this.... The correct way of preparing gabapentin is removing the drug from the bottle and taking it as directed. ABSOLUTELY no heat if you go against all logic and reason and actually proceed with what you're suggesting... Have you ever seen a pregabalin/water "solution"? It's freely soluble in water, yet it forms a gross, part-liquid, part-solid EMULSION, not a solution by any definition, and injection of it not only is a waste of time, calories, and your long-term health. I have tons of experience with pregabalin and am basing my response off this rather than my limited, extremely disappointing experiences with gabapentin.

Hi Tricomb

I would love to read about your disappointing experiences with gabapentin. I searched but didn't see a post from you about it.

Hi TweakerBirdie

Why would a person use gabapentin like that?
To get high?
I apologize if I am being naive. It's just that there are so many other options better suited to the task.

I don't think I've posted about my experiences with it, because that's a waste of bandwidth if such a thing exists (and it does, even in this day and age.)...

Even the far more potent pregabalin is nothing to write home about, and taking it on consecutive days leads to the most rapid increases in tolerance I have ever experienced. Even (especially) for pain, I've found it to be no better than a placebo. If I take pregabalin before bed, I wake up with a very groggy hangover. They're just not my cup of tea, nerve pain drugs...

Good enough the 1st few times after that you need far too many to get high. Lyrica is the one you want if you want to get the best gabba high from the two.

That is unusual. Yes the tolerance is an issue, but especially when you 1st start doing them the vast majority if not all the people I know who have taken it all describe a nice 'afterglow' the following day.

The key is to just not do them more than twice a week imho.

Or at least drop dosage then go back up, rinse and repeat as they say ! =D

It's not too uncommon, I've seen plenty of BL'ers swear the same thing regarding the tolerance.

I agree, just surprised you don't feel any kind of afterglow day after. It's a very common outcome. :)
