Im looking for personal anectodes. How well does gabapentin knock out opiate withdrawal? I know that gabapentin is a treatment for RLS and causes constipation. Any thoughts? Maybe a miracle pill for opiate withdrawal?

Gabapentn doesnt cause constipation in everyone, just a few people. I know many people that take it and no one has ever suffered constipation. From what I hear, it does indeed lessen the effects of opiate WD, but its big brother Lyrica does a better job of it and also makes you high, so its like going through 'fun' WD.

Fun withdrawal is the best way to do it imo, last time I got off heroin I was smoking weed, taking kratom, drinking and popping fioricet. The kratom helped the most with the actual wd symptoms but the other stuff really distracted me and made things fun so I wasn't even concerned about wd.

Well, gabapentin knocked out about 85% of all my symptoms pertaining to kratom withdrawal, w/ baclofen that went up to a reduction in 95% of all symptoms... though kratom isn't your typical opioid, the withdrawal has a very similar profile, and I was using pharms and the odd H during this period. Good stuff indeed, wouldn't kick without it.
