Gabapentin and lorazepam for oxy w/d

For the past six months I've been using 40-80mg of OxyContin a day nasally. It's now been 24 hours since my last dose, and I have the following drugs at my disposal:

• loperamide x 2mg (~ten of them)
• gabapentin x 300mg (~six of them)
• lorazepam x 1mg (~twelve of them)

If all goes well, I will either be getting a stockpile of hydromorphone ~20 hours from now or, failing that, a stock of Oxy ~30 hours from now.

I've already thrown up a few times, always bile. No appetite or real energy to do anything. Which of the above meds, in which order and dose, should I use to keep from feeling like shit until I can cop? Thanks guys

all of the above will work. In my opinion the 20mg of loperamide might not be enough to totally get rid of all your symptoms. But, imo you may not even need that, take 3 or 4 of the gaba as these are imo great for w/d symptoms take away chills, restless leg, teary eyes/runny nose ect. You can even take all 6 if needed, it is from what ive read almost impossible to overdose on gabapentin.

The lorazepam will for sure help you sleep and further help your symptoms maybe take 2 and go from there until you get the feeling you are looking for. i hope your connects are on time, but with what ya got you should be in fine shape with little discomfort as your dosage of opiates isnt crazy high. hope this helped hopefully you dont have to play the waiting game!

I ended up using most of the lorazepam and not much else. This was the first time since about the 2 month mark that I ran out of pills, and holy shit, I had no idea that a relatively small habit like mine would have such an ass-kicking w/d.

How easy do you guys think it would be to taper down to closer to 20mg a day over a period of two weeks or so? I'm visiting family for Christmas on the other side of the country and usually can't buy more than four or five pills at a time, so stockpiling enough for the entire trip will be difficult... it would be way easier to bring seven or eight 40s with me rather than 15-20. Do you guys recommend cutting down a mg or two each day, or just start doing half as much each time I dose? Not sure if the latter would cause noticeable withdrawal (can't be in w/d during finals).

gabapentin is good for opiate withdrawl, as it numbs you and calms your nerves. the lorazepam is also good for sleeplessness and anxiety(to an extent).

the loperamide might give mild relief to opiate craving, but mostly will just help with the side effects of withdrawl.

these drugs will not reduce the psychological desire for opiates, although they're better than having nothing at all.
