when people hear the word gabapentin they don't think much of It. But my friend gave me 1800 and I said why not.

I popped the pills and started watching Netflix. 3 episodes of daredevil later and I can feel a change in consciousness. Everything looks glossy. Sorta like being on mdma.

I didn't get much sleep the night before so I thought I would take a 40 minute nap. I fell asleep pretty quickly and had a very interesting thing happen.

I saw a man that looked like an angles(dressed in white, gave intense euphoria just looking at him) showed me this machine that sorta looked like a rocket. There was a door and he pointed to it telling me to go inside.

I walked through the door and was met with a joystick and a red button on top. Sorta like the ones on a old arcade game. I pressed the bottom and was lunched into anouther world.

at this point I had total control over my dream. I was flying above the clouds, visiting beautiful waterfalls. After what seemed like 15 minutes I was back in the rocket. The man in white was still their.

That was the last thing I saw before I woke up. I was amazed, the rest of the experience was sorta like being on a benzo and a nice opiate body buzz(no head high) but still some euphoria.

I've never had a lucid dream before so I'm pretty sure it was the Gabapentin.

Hope you guys enjoyed my trip Report.

Peace.

I took tons of gabapentin and never had something this interesting happen. thanks for the write-up.

I have Lyrica (pregabalin) prescribed which is the 'improved' version of gabapentin..

A very common mistake people make is to assume that with GABA in the name it acts on GABA receptors like sedatives or something like that. Instead it is more that the molecule resembles GABA, and that they increase GABA levels indirectly and in a kinda minor way.
The more important action is calcium channel blocking.

Higher dosed gabapentinoids like these can produce pretty brilliant euphoric feelings of fading out, also for me kind of catatonic (not moving anymore)... but occasionally also mess people up as if too drunk, especially when alcohol is in the mix and people are inexperienced.

The effect is not MDMA-like, but can sure be euphoric. What they do have in common is that this kind of 'magic' from higher doses can fade with repeated use. Although I am told it can return if you stop using it for not that long. Hopefully not like eternal dissociative tolerance, bleh.

I am told it helps with anxiety in 50% of people.. and apparently not everyone is susceptible to getting those amazing euphoric feelings. Honestly when I just started taking it daily when prescribed, I went hypomanic and it helped on MANY aspects in my life.. sleep was easier, but waking up also is fine - less anxiety, good appetite, VERY sociable as if constantly a little drunk.
