Has anyone done a version of this paper with images of all the structures included? I must admit, it would be quite a lot of work, but maybe people here would be interested in rewriting it with the new stuff included. Say, take a section each and make a PDF.

I think the "Future Synthetic Drugs of Abuse" paper is pretty lame and outdated by now. What's needed is not a rewrite of this paper, but a "Future Synthetic Drugs of Abuse II" with the abusable compounds discovered by science since "Future Synthetic Drugs of Abuse" was written. When was this paper published, anyone know?

Yes, that's the idea. Amfonelic acid, MDPV, lots of new opiates and so on. I know Etonitazine HAS been sold on the streets, fentanyl went through a brief fad so I expect bromidol will, as will a number of other powerful opiates. I didn't like MDPV too much & desoxypipradrol lasts too long, but amfonelic acid sounds like a winner and since it's synth is identical to naxalinic acid barring 1 start material, I guess a producer could knock out a few Kg quite cheap.

I personally know of 2 attempts to make amfonelic acid, one by an Indian lab (50 kg) and one by a Chinese lab (1kg). Both attempts failed miserably and yielded nothing but financial loss. So don't underestimate the difficulty of the synthesis of AFA.

I would go to a company that made naxadilic acid specifically. They should know how to do it. How financial loss if they failed?

You could probably collate a very accurate future drugs of abuse II by just going through all bluelight ADD threads.

Would take a while though.

I guess "future drugs of abuse" & modern equivalent publications produced from official academic institutions are possibly not released publicly anymore?

You mean this?

Does this stuff cross the BBB? It's crying out for a mehylenedioxy ring... or simpler esterification. esters of phenols seem to drop pretty easily.
So, is pre or post synaptic the one to go for?
