Mark-------------------
I just wanted to say that I am coming down to Melbourne from Sydney for NYE (actually I know of quite a few people who are coming down) simply because you are giving us the DJ's we want to see.
Quick Question - Where can I get tickets for Welcome 2001 in Sydney (for the Melbourne show).
I wish more promoters in Sydney organised parties like yours, keep up the good work (or should that say BRING up the good work).
Bluelighters-----------
For too long people in Sydney have to pay $60 to go see DJ Whoever and then another $60 to see DJ Someone Else play at another party, sometimes on the same night which means you miss out on someone. As you all know it costs a fortune, $60 for a ticket, whatever on pills, and say $50 on drinks (at least), usually a night out costs me around $200. Then to read that all the DJ's who did their own shows up here are playing at one party in Melbourne, 2 Tribes for example, it gets frustrating.
I know this won't be my last trip to Melbourne for a party, myself and some friends intend on doing 2 Tribes this year, simply because to get all the class DJ's on one bill is simply unheard of up here, I think you have been spoiled for too long.
As for the music, the beauty of having varying DJ's playing at one party means there is something for everyone (usually), you also don't have to go if you don't like the DJ's.
I have to admit I would rather inject faeces into my eyeball than listen to Madison Avenue

to mark james -
first of all, thankyou for bringing paul oakenfold over to perth!! I am not sure if the trip was worth it for future entertainment, but i had a fucken unbelievable night.. and so did the 20 or so of my friends who attended.
secondly, if that night is anything to go by then my trip over to sydney this nye' will be well worth it. digweed will be well worth the $90 or so - i would much rather see diggers over sasha.. but why are they playing together in melbourne but separately in sydney?? are you expecting shitloads of punters @ the homebush party?
and, to all the whinging bastards complaining about paying 100 plus for a party, think about the fucken huge risks these guys take to bring you the worlds best (and the most expensive) djs.. it has been almost four years since both sasha and digweed played over in perth, even at that stage it was $50 but it was held in a shitty little club... you guys in melbourne get nothing less than the docklands.
mark - if you are looking for probably the most appreciative crowd in the country (if not the world!!) put on some mammoth parties over here in perth!! please!
respect and keep the good work up
take it easy

Well, to mark james: Congratulations on getting to where you are now, you've obviously put done the hard slog and deserve it. Now one thing i would like to ask you,
What is your view on smaller crews?
And, while i agree somewhat with teh commercialism comment back from your first post, Andy Van was always a commercial dj. HE catered for the mainstream crowd..
I doubt we will see an undergound producer win an award anytime soon....but then again sweetness and light by itchy and scratchy got an award....now THATS a cool track. Get them out mark (if they still exist that is hehe)
And Chet, it's commonplace to use sampled vocals in dance music..if it sounds good why not?

Its my duty to please you're booty

Sub thanks for the support in Perth ,we are taking Two Tribes to Perth in March with an all star line up.
Serotone hey what about Josh Abrahams he was in FSOM i remember many years ago him bangin out serious acid at many of my nights at Pure and that was very undergorund as you might say .If an artist is good underground or what ever they will cross over the more people they touch the more they people tell before you know its everywhere every ones into then they call it commercial then styles change and a new underground thing is born thats the way it is .But thats only my opion each to there own.
