How goes it peeps?? Just checkin in from tha UK, im 34 yrs young guy!!, whats the jist of this site & the forums? I just signed up on a whim after a few google searches kept bringing up topics.. iv been in recovery for a few years now, my litte demons were heroin & valium.. now about ready to come off suboxne, which i credit as savin ma life. Anyone have any experience with coming off subuxone? Maybe let me know what im in for? Im on a real low dose, dropped down from 2mg to 1.4mg (actually went from 2mg subuxone to 1.2mg subutex as they dont make suboxne in doses under the 2mg apparently).. anyhoo, any feedback, advice would be greatly appreciated..i had done it once before but i was still dabbling in benzo then & a few valium really eased the 'come off'. So im kinda dreading it completely cold!! But needs must & all.. my addiction nurse got me a whole months supply to ween myself down how i see fit. Its 3 tablets of 0.4 subutex sub - lingual daily.. so i can try taking 1 a day see how goes it etc.. anyway im sure someone got tips..cheers

you should be able to jump off subby at a dose as low as two milligrams. I've done it a number of times and the 'withdrawals' were barley present. Of course this may not be the case for all and sundry but for most ppl they can just give it away at a low dose like that. Unlike the other opiate maintenance drug, methadone, buprenorphine doen't stay in ya system like methadone does, where weeks and weeks later one can still feel the absence of opiate. You'll be fine .
