Romancing the fate
of a pleasureful youth
I shall sever this guilt
And breath venom, pull tooth.
Till my senseless ways ebb
and my wit shows promise, true
I shall stand fast with negligence
and bid the Powers, adieu.

Well shit, I thought this was one of my better pieces...Still do, I just wish my perception could reach the masses...

I like it. I just finished 85 pages of verse and prose for a book I wrote and I think we have some of the same sensibilities.:|

i must be holding this poem up to the light so that when i read it, it becomes translucent and the words are imposed on me therefore allowing me to only see my own ineffectual upbringing reflected, sorry.
