The ones I have are full-spectrum, so they do contain all of the compounds from the Cannabis planet. However, given I'm in the UK, I imagine the THC content is extremely low (although I did get them on amazon and I doubt amazon actually verifies these things personally, so maybe they're kinda sketchy and have more than they should IDK). I chose the brand I did as it had multiple reviews from people saying this was the only brand/type where they ACTUALLY felt a different and could feel effects after taking it. Also, someone had it tested and it did test positive for THC (so there is some, at least enough for a test to detect).

The normal dose of CBD seems to be 10mg...which seems crazy-low to me? It's recommended people take 10-30mg per day as a starting dose and then increase every few days in 5mg increments (if needed) up to a maximum of 75mg/day.
People at doses of 30mg DID report improvments in anxiety (79% reported improvement at a dose of 33mg/day).
However, studies have also suggested that for severe anxiety 300mg/day is needed for "significant" improvement with some people requiring as much as 500mg (depending on body weight and severity of anxiety).

But given the price, I'd say several hundred miligrams per day is just not financially feasable for most people?

Anyway, looking for advice/opinions?

The (capsules) I have are "triple-strength" so they're 30mg each. It says to only take one and then a maximum of two/day after the first few days if needed. I did take 4, though, so 120mg as my first dose.

it takes me a shitload of CBD to help my anxiety, at least in a noticeable way. i take CBD pretty regularly and i find that 100-200mg is my usual dose. it’s subtle but it does help my anxiety and pain a bit. THC gives me insane anxiety so i mostly stick to CBD/G/N. a lower dose will help me sleep and help with physical symptoms of anxiety, but doesn’t do a lot mentally.

if it’s full spectrum CBD it definitely doesn’t take quite as much, 100-150mg for an acute noticeable improvement. CBD isolate takes me a bit more, 150-200mg. AlliantHemp is the best deal on CBD that i’ve found, tho they only have isolate. they sell 6,000mg tincture for $30something. 200mg/ml, 30ml. so ya can take 200mg a day for a month for $30ish which ain’t too bad. LazarusNaturals is pretty expensive but their high dosed isolate is not too bad.

CBD is so damn overpriced it’s insane to me. THC products are cheaper. which sucks cause THC gives me panic attacks and CBD, while subtle, helps my anxiety. it’s definitely not the most cost effective but i’ve personally never found a dose under 100mg helpful. i know some people don’t need nearly as much tho.

IIRC the UK regs allow for very low levels in CBD products so I guess this is to be expected

The price of CBD is a piss take.

Might be better to look at black market products that have a better THC to CBD ratio, seems to be more and more 50:50 ratio products coming out in the US, issue is finding them for sale in the UK!

if you looking for other non-drug options for anxiety how far down the nootropics rabbit hole have to tried? I was dubious about them but have had a fair bit of success combining a few different things
