FSC smokes. Michigan has started carrying these "Delayed ignition" smokes. Philip Morris seems to be trying to lower the number of smokers who set themselves on fire with lit cigarettes. Anyhow after a little research I find that "the process of banding cigarettes had to be changed from outside banding to inside". This means that you have to inhale harder and have less conversation whilst smoking or else that bitch will go out.

How do I know if I have FSCs?

Well look on the barcode. On the top it will say FSC.
Also the wonderful taste you once enjoyed will taste just terrible

Anyhow thoughts? comments? FSC?

BULLSHIT!

These have been standard in NJ and a couple of relative States for a while. It's law & all. The taste is definetely noticeable at first, but after a while it becomes pretty insignificant. However, if the cig goes out and you're forced to relight it, eghh it never tastes the same. And they do go out quite often, if you ignore you cig for 30 secs or more you pretty much doomed. In NJ they used to have a thick black line above the UPC barcode signifying "Fire Safe Cigarette", I believe now they've switched over to the "FSC" label.

yeah they suck try carolinacartons . com but its a nationwide law starting in 2010 and phillip morris will start making fsc only cigs starting in early november of this year.

Roll your own cigarettes and avoid major brands of tobacco, save yourself 90% of the cancer risk with smoking cigarettes too.

Haha, this is a great idea in theory - I've tried it.

Everytime though, at about the 2nd week into I really get tired of rolling packs upon packs of cigarettes. If you smoke any amount of cigarettes you're going to quickly get sick of rolling up a new pack as soon as you kick a one. I've even used all the machines - cheap $7 ones, dank $75 dollar models - everything, it just gets to be too much.

I've never even heard of this, but it sounds like shit. I live in the south, which is pretty pro-tobacco... So hopefully we'll be among the last to get these.

I wonder what the "less porous material" is that causes the extra filter?!?

You could always just break both the filters off and smoke it strait.

Stupid cigarette anyhow.

Oh, man. They started this in Maryland about a year ago. I hated it so much at first I kept driving over to Virginia to get cigs. The paper feels thicker and hits a little slower. They go out and taste worse when re-lit.

On top of the fact that we pay $7.50 a pack we gotta deal with this bullshit. I loved them paper cigs...

Fuck FSC.

Essentially, yes. However, any way you use tobacco has a cancer risk. I believe snuff is the lowest cancer risk, but that's more popular in Europe.

CH i believe3 you are right but eh cancer you can get thru using snuff absolutely destroys ya face. would much rather have lung cancer than having half my sinus cavity's hacked off

What about Winston and American Spirit? Are they as safe as rolling your own?

they're both FSC's too

Whats really crazy is all these cigs still have the bands of gunpowder, so they have both the accelerant and the deterrent. why not have neither? the tobacco and paper will go out on its own, as anyone who has ever rolled cigs knows

They have them here in Washington too, I absolutely hate them. I pay around 7 for a pack. And they raised the price of Top rolling tobacco. used to be around 3 bucks a bag, now its almost 6. I might as well just buy a pack lol. But I live 20 mins from the Idaho border so I can drive there and get legit smokes for cheap!
