Opioids Frustrated with Dilaudid...

Okay, so a bit of background before the griping: I've been using hydrocodone fairly heavily when I have it (legit prescriptions for back pain, buying/bumming from family) on and off since the beginning of April after a car accident, but to a lesser extent for the past few years... So I do have a somewhat large tolerance. I know that hydromorphone is one of the things that 'codone breaks down into, so I guess the cross tolerance or whatever could be part of the reason why I'm not feeling shit... The Dilaudid (4mg/"M 4" imprint), I've been getting from a family member who has a broken hip/fucked up back...

I know that hydromorphone has a sucky oral bioavailability, so when I have the patience, I'll crush it up with water and plug it. Either way, from my understanding, it's supposed to be a lot stronger a chemical than 'codone... This morning, I took 20mg orally and 20mg rectally, and I barely felt anything at all... I plugged 20mg more when I got home from work, and all I feel is annoyingly sedated, no euphoria to speak of... Dilaudid has always felt to me like "diet" hydrocodone, just really really clean feeling-- too clean-- but it's supposed to be stronger, right? If I'd taken 40mg of 'codone instead, I know I'd have a pretty decent buzz going on...

I'm really tempted to just try injecting it again after pussying out the one time I tried, as from my understanding, that's really the only way to get anything out of it... But I just don't feel like even IV'ing it would do anything for me, you'd think I'd still get SOME kind of euphoria from a high oral/rectal dose, but I just don't, and it's kinda pissing me off...

What's going on here? Is IV really the ONLY way to get anything out of this shit, or am I just .. doing something wrong...? I've got 10 left, and I just feel like I've been jipped... What should I do with em, suck it up and try to IV them again, or what? What dose would I even need in an IV to get the feeling I'm looking for out of this shit, or am I just wasting my time? Should I maybe consider IM since I'm so squeamish about veins..? I've got micron filters and all that good shit.. Thoughts? Ideas? :|
 
Well bro honestly TOLERANCE...
40mgs of dialuadid is alot to take imo... even with poor mounts of admin

IV dialuadid is one of the greatest rushes ever..But thats about it;; Its just a 5 second RUSH and its over pretty much. Oh man I loved banging that shit; IV you need way less of a dose.. I mean i had a tolerance and 4-8mgs IV got me floored if i recall..

However, I highly reccomend not IVING.... just trust me on this one......
 
Ya I had the same experience shooting dilaudid, the high might have lasted maybe a half hour total. its stupid
 
^ Well what about I.M. then, any better than what I've been doing? I'm not really sure how much water/saline to use per 4mg pill, though... ??

I (started) w/ 32 mg.s in 1/2 oz. nasal spray...My tolerance skyrocketed the first week & I dont feel shite from 150 mg.s
C.W.E. of Hydrocodone. If you dont like the idea of bangin' it - dont start.

I like the idea, believe me, I just don't trust my inexperience.. My fear of fucking something up trumps my desire to do it.. That's probably a good thing though. :\
 
I used to get dillie 8s for insanely insanely insanely cheap back before I shot.. I would snort them all day long and really didn't get a lot out of it. Once you snort, the comeup is immidiate, but the 'high' if you will does not last. I snorted probably 10-15 a day which was fun but wasn't really great. Then again, it was cheaper than a burger and coke from McDonalds, so, I couldn't complain :).
 
Don't IM pills. Its very easy to get a nasty abscess or infection. And yes, the oral bioavailability of hydromorphone generally sucks. IDK about rectal, cause im not really into putting stuff up my ass and i like to IV. Many say the rush from IV Dilaudid is comparable or even better than that of heroin.

...Did he really just say that 40mg of hydromorphone does nothing, but 40mg of pussy hydro would give him a buzz??? I guess he could have psycho-efficient CYP2D6 enzymes, but I doubt it. That whole statement just smells funny to me. Though, to be honest, I love the rush of IV Dilaudid, but I literally felt nothing, nada, from snorting over twice as much as I shoot. As others said, IV is the only way to go with double D's, but the 10 second rush and 20 or 30 minutes of feeling like a god isn't worth it. I would just switch it up if I was you.
 
@lorne667 True story, bro. Well, my hydrocodone buzz 'starts' at 40mg... Don't get me wrong, the 40mg of 'morphone had me noddin' off at work til past noon, but there was no euphoria to speak of whatsoever... Hydrocodone actually gives me what I'm lookin for. I don't understand either...

@ykm420 Gave it a try, wasn't worth another.
