Fruit with Protein?

I once had a banana in my protein shake....it fermented and i got drunk, it broke my sobriety and it was all down hill from there. True story bro

that;s funny - this can actually happen to some people - very rare...not with fruit though - sometimes there is a gene missing (particularly in Japanese, hence why they cannot hold their liquor like westerners), which leads to carbs fermenting and turning into alcohol. It is pretty rare though - I read about this in a book from the library when studying Candida Albicans.

I have looked into the issue more and there is a possibility the proteins will putrefy to some extent BUT all in all it's not the worst combo you can come up with. After you drink it do you burp? If you do burp an hour later, and you can taste the whey or the fruit, it's not been digested properly - FACT.

If you have a sturdy digestion this shouldn'[t be a problem...but some people like myself, are quite irregular.

fruit protein combo

Like said in my previous reply after some digging "one" of the books I have about our digestive system and food says.
This is according to the gospel of food combinations of J. and I. Vries in the book Food and Health,
it says nuts/ seeds, cheese/ young cheese (like in the cheesecakes is used), meat/ fish/ birds combine good with fruits high in acid low in sugars.
They seperate fruit in two categories sweet and sour, most of the fruit we eat is obvious sweet and doesn't combine with proteins.

They base this diet around the way the digestive proces goes and good combinations are comboś the body can digest with ease.
Good example berry's (sour fruit) with nuts and seeds (protein) would be a good combo according to this book, looks like the palio diet at work.
