Friends or are they?

The number of friends you have should be the equivalent to the number of kidneys you are willing to donate.

What dose everyone think about this saying?
 
Friends is just a word that is often used in a more extended context than what it really means. A lot of people we call friends we are not actually that close to and wouldn't really do that much for. Only those you would stick with through anything can really be considered friends. Most people only have a few of those, but some can have a lot. I don't think anything about your phrase specifically. Not sure my kidneys are in great shape.

Of course a certain class of drug users aren't really friends with anybody because they would fuck the people closest to them in the blink of an eye to get a fix, so there's that.
 
I think it's ridiculous. I don't have MANY friends but I certainly have more than two... which, according to your saying, is the maximum amount of friends you can have.
 
I thought this one going to be something along the lines of the op wondering if two of his friends were more than just friends.
